I'm familiar with the brand, I've had them in the past. I just thought there was a specific model they where talking about.

I believe 2001-2002 was the introduction of the red sticker program.
But all red sticker bikes (bikes made pre 2022/2023) have now been grandfathered into the green sticker program as of January 2025. Bikes made after 2022/2023 technically should not be receiving any stickers and are intended for race/private land only but to my understanding some dealerships still give them out.

never heard of park rangers giving 2 stroke guys any more grief than 4 stroke, as long as it’s legal you’re fine

Glen Helen raceway seems to be a popular spot to ride as far as tracks near LA goes. Unfortunately don’t know any of the trails up there well at all.

Facebook memories reminded me today, 10 years ago had a local forum guy want to take some professional pics of my bike. Miss that one most

It was borderline too loud. The only bikes I've ever seen louder was an RSV4 with SC Project and a clapped out gixxer running a straight pipe/no muffler. However, it sounded great

I’m selling a bunch of lenses if you end up getting one. Just sold my last body or I’d have hooked it up!

+1 KTM got too greedy and bought up too many brands producing the same shit.... KTM, Husky, GasGas all had essentially the same models of dirtbikes just different colors.... WHY?!

+1 to what Taco said below. That stated, the DMV system, park rangers etc still are not on the proper page and you will likely have issues if you have a "red sticker bike". My suggestion, get a CA street legal dirtbike of somekind, it opens up the world to riding down here in socal. For example up in big bear there are many awesome OHV dirt trails, BUUUUT there are sections that are dirt roads that are STREET LEGAL VEHICLES ONLY. Its their way of making the OHV areas smaller and smaller unfortunately.

What part of LA are you going to be located in? Im just north of LA in ventura county.

i've noticed some of the loudest Aprilias I've been around have Austin Racing or SC Project exhaust. such a uniquely raspy sound.

Got to try an R6 today, only rode the RC390 and R3 prior.

Why on earth do people ride them daily lol. So uncomfortable and violent with power. I didnt chicken out, I got to 15000rpm, not quite redline but I'm proud of myself.

Chief Darkhorse is the only cruiser I’ve ever ridden and even remotely liked let alone LOVED how it handles and the wife enjoys the passenger seat when she’s not on her own bike. Only cruiser I’d buy and I’m a die hard Japanese bikes only guy.

I love my bolt but it is a cramped bike. Her knees are above her waist and she doesn't get a lot of room. Plus most aftermarket seats are just meh. I tried a sadlmen I think is the name? Found a dude locally that let me try it to see if we would like it before buying it and suuucks great for me but not her.

I ordered a moto tote and it came today. Expensive? Yes they are, but this is absolutely the most heavy duty hitch mount carrier I have ever seen and its american made. Regular price was $699, but I chose a re boxed one for $114 dollars off so it was under $599 and shipped free. It came FedEx and weighed 63lbs. It has a 600lb weight rating.

    20250508_184055.jpg

    20250508_184226.jpg
    Very well repacked.
    20250508_184259.jpg
    Some assembly required. Lol.
I laid out all the parts, it came with new hardware. Some parts had a few scratches but so what! I'm sure I'll scratch it. I can see witness marks from washers where it had been assembled and returned for whatever reason
    20250508_185133.jpg
Fits nice, there is some adjustment to the width if need be.
    20250508_193637.jpg
It sits nice and low so loading should be fairly easy.
    20250508_193652.jpg
I also like how the loading ramp stores and it has a hitch pin that locks it on.
    20250508_193717.jpg
So I pick up the tdub Saturday, I hope the fat tires fit this carrier. From what the specs said it should. Fingers crossed.
