Subject: My Experience with MCB Tuning by ICL Performance Tuning

    Greetings,

My name is Rafa Rivera, and I own a 2022 Off Road Taco. My truck is equipped with 5.29 gears, an URD Y Pipe, Borla Type S Cat Back exhaust, S&B CAI, a manifold spacer, 35” Mickey Thompson tires, FOX 2.5 DSC extended travel suspension, a 12” long travel rear, Camburg control arms, all Archived Garage rear end components, an Alu Cab canopy with an Alu Cab Gen 3R rooftop tent, an Alu Cab awning and shower, along with many other upgrades.

I wanted to share my experience with the MCB tuning performed by ICL Performance Tuning here in Puerto Rico. They have been tuning trucks on the island for approximately four years. I previously had other tunes on my truck that performed well, but given the many hills and curves we have in Puerto Rico, along with the additional weight in my truck, I was looking for more power and responsiveness.

The MCB tune is incredibly smooth throughout the power band. All the shifting points are significantly improved, and the power is unbelievable. I can really feel the difference, especially when driving through the mountains and on trails. It feels like a completely new truck! Honestly, I will think long and hard before switching to another mapping, as this one is truly on point.

    Best regards,
    Rafa Rivera

Looks like a capable setup for anything @Chocolon! You're getting the same great outcomes I am hearing from others I work with here in Virginia with McB Elite Performance calibrations. Thanks for submitting your feedback from an owner perspective that's tried other offerings out there - it's a growing result for sure that McB is a proven setup to take care of some quirks found elsewhere. When quality becomes the focus we all get a better tune! Cheers!!

Thanks Rafa for trusting us. The modifications and attention to detail on your truck are on another level. I'm so glad that our tune exceeded your expectations and complemented the excellent selection of upgrades. Weekly, new customers continue to join our MCB family in Puerto Rico, and they're impressed with the results, especially those coming from other tunes. From the smoothness, torque and excellent performance climbing the most aggressive hills we have the best offer. You know we're always here to help.

Thad’s (not Tad), review after towing his pool cleaning tools and supply trailer (500-800 lbs normally). He pulls this daily in his pool cleaning business.

When we encounter this question I personally dont really comment about it. MCB Autotech and the entirety of Team MCB is out to showcase what we can do with our tunes and not to compare it to other ones out there.

    1. As a tune developer, there's just a lot on the technical side of things to look at and say i have completely compared 2 tunes. Comparing one to another on who makes the more power on the dyno is not enough to say one tune is better. I would look at data logs, how it performs on the road where we use it 90 percent of the time and alot more.

We can just squeeze so much power with these engines but if it drives like crap, power and /or gains would not make sense.

    2. What we can do for you is to give you an insight of some customers reviews where they have experienced having both tunes on their trucks.

Just look at our map on the website and reachout to the nearest team member near you. They are more than happy to answer your questions.

I can provide you a recent Customers review and his thoughts after tuning to MCB Autotech Elite and the Ultra throttle.

These are his thoughts and words after a Real World test drive. He was on the “popular” social forum Other Toyota Tune. And yes it was the most current CARB certified version.

If you’d like more information I can even put you in contact with customer to hear him explain it.

we have other who have switched as well.
