Found some time to finish the front crossmember tie ins. Next step is getting the ram in place and building the clevis’s. Getting a little anxious to finish this truck. It’s wheeling season here and neither one is ready.

Haven’t dug that far into it yet. I know the spindle is bent where the tie rod arm is. I’ve got the TC spindle gussets, so they may have helped from being much worse. The bumper def bent, I’ve got to dig in there further. I was able to get a 9/16 bolt in and swap the CV to get it back to camp and on the trailer. Prob weekend after Mother’s Day I’ll get it in the garage and really go through it and see what’s up.

Total Chaos +2 axles came out without too much fuckery, certainly not as painful as disassembling an OEM axle.

I should move upper shock mounts and run 10-12’s and ditch that spacer and center mount with a 9” diff and build a race car.

That looks like 1mm of clearance between the shock shaft and bump. You can't tell me those don't hit each other at speed. Or it's just the camera angle. Or you're trolling....

a lot of race trucks don't even run front bump stops, they just use the bypass.

Shannon Campbells 4400 car, no front bumps

Mason 2wd 6100 TT, no front bumps

but how will people know they're serious business without them?

nah, makes sense. with enough travel im sure you've got space in the bypass shock to build an actual bump zone. Those are sweet~

Our 6100 Truck doesn't have front Bumps, and our Class 10 car doesn't have front/rear bumps.

As previously mentioned, the Bump Zone works well in larger Diameter Bypasses.
    20180210_084608.jpg

Its also why I went with 3.0 Bypasses Front and Rear with my Tacoma Build. The Bump Zone is pretty significant compared to a 2.5 Bypass. This weekend we'll be finaly completing the Front end with installing the correct length Coil/Overs, Misalignments and Bump Stops. One of the special things that we are doing is reducing the Hydro Bump Stop length to just having 1" Stoke and a revalve to work better with the 3.0 Bypass

You watch Shannon's youtube channel? That guy might build the nicest brackets without any fancy cutters I've ever seen.

It’s less. They probably rub with limit strap stretch. But soft rubber slight rub on the shaft is no concern.
