I like to sleep in my truck.
Call the toyota brand engagement center. 1800 331 4331. Explain to them. They will reach out to the dealer. Should replace under warranty.

You’re leaking engine oil. I bet the drain plug was put back in without the washer.

Fix that first. Then evaluate how “bad” the rack is actually leaking.

OP states he is topping off the PS monthly. Presumably, he already knows almost precisely how bad the leak is.

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
I have my '22 in for the 60k service (62,500 on the ODO) I'm a second owner and I'm being told it needs a new rack. My CPO extended warranty covered one year and 14k from purchase (March 1 2024, at 43k). Is it worth me calling corporate or am I in the 'monitor fluid and fill' for a while?

I would say you're well into the latter.

Would have been nice if the OP updated us, to see if toyota actually gave him some out of warranty assistance....

I know how to navigate this with ford but no idea if toyota plays nice like that....

    Missed it! thanks...
I advise / coach guys out of warranty on fords all the time that need huge repairs for common issues, out of warranty phasers, etc...
This is what scares me about toyota, I dont know the ins / outs like I do ford....
Looks like they played nice in this scenario, good to hear.....

I read an earlier comment on here about driving the truck until the "seep becomes a leak". That sounds so Toyota. My 13 Sienna when it had 20K on it the front struts were leaking according to my nephew who is a certified GM mechanic. Because it was still under warranty he told me to make Toyota replace the struts. Toyota refused saying it was a seep and and not a leak. This went on until the Sienna was out of warranty and guess what? The very same dealership was telling me my seep just became a leak immediately after the warranty expired. They wanted $1200 now to fix the seep leak whatevers. I let my nephew do it for less than $600.
I worked briefly at a Ford dealership in 2017 in the service department and quit because i would listen to CSRs tell their customers their transmissions didn't meet certain Ford specs and parameters for repair or replacement and then send the customer away while the car was still under warranty. Ford had some serious transmission problems with their Focus and Fiesta automatics and stuck the customer for repairs later after the cars were out of warranty. I was driving these customers cars and seeing how bad they were slipping. I would warn the customer several times not to let them do this to you. Fortunately I quit before I got fired when I got another job.

My 15 has some dampness at each boot, the level in reservoir never really goes down. I'm not worrying about it until I see the level start to actually drop
