I havent used cruise control in this truck since 2018. Been like this since day one. I actually tried to return the truck. Anyway...

Not aware of that. I'm almost convinced it has something to do with the active intake system. Sometimes, it drives like a totally different truck. Then, I dont hate it.

Square D. I have a 2pole 100amp in my main panel, for one of the sub panels.

Not for my use case of 3 miles (1.5 each way)

Yeah not a fan of the leaf. But they're in my price range. Them, smart fourtwo, and those stupid beamers. And i think some bolts might be.

The only goal is to eliminate an ICE. An e bike makes the most sense - no reg or insurance needed, i can take the battery inside at work and charge it there.

But I'm a pansy and riding in the cold, rain, or tippity top extreme heats are a no. If i got an EV I could use it year round without any second guessing the weather or seasons.

1.5 miles ain't enough to warm up the engine. On the coldest days in the winter on the drive in - sometimes the needle doesn't even move off the cold end.

I drive 25 miles to work each way. We have a 13 mile rail trail that I am driving alongside for much of that drive. There is talk of expanding it north. If it goes where proposed, I would have 4 miles of roads from home to get on it, then another 3ish on the other end to get to work.

I couldn't do it all the time because I often have to travel between our buildings which are as much as 15 miles apart, but occasionally in the summer that sounds pretty appealing on an e-bike.

I get ya. When I had my first diesel jetta it wouldn’t warm up on my commute and that’s how I ended up with my truck.

Then I started commuting 80 miles daily but no ragrets

i3 is fantastic. Especially with the range extender. What about 500e? Those things are dirt cheap

One of these new Slate trucks should make a good around town commuter.

It seems like it will be great for mostly daily driving tasks. I like how it is super basic unlike most other trucks that have become luxury cars with luxury pricing.

Agreed, There is a VW pickup that has been sitting at a garage near my house for a year or so, and I keep thinking about stopping by and seeing what's up. I would take a basic no frills truck for running around town any day. My only issue is no standard radio/speakers, but that would just be an excuse to mod in a USB speaker system.

So much for ordering aftermarket headlights. Ordered the pros for a pretty good deal.

It's a shame they are not really trying to part of the community, 3 posts, all about selling.
