I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them but personally I’d stick with 2014+ as that’s when they refreshed and added stuff like cruise, updated dash and the ES model

Thinking about picking up a little 50cc 2 stroke scooter this summer. It depends on whether that XR150L pans out or not.

I still want a Grom to ride back and forth to work. There's one locally with a CBR300 kit on it. Guy is asking 4K. I bet that thing would be a hoot

I would have suggested getting a later model with cruise control but see this one already had the MCCruise added to it. Those are a well known unit and supposed to be really reliable. Might not matter to you much now but if you choose to start taking longer trips and hitting interstate they sure make it more comfortable. That one looks nicely set up for the money.

For what they are, the price doesn't seem too bad. Still more than I'd want to spend on one

just a couple of things tbh
what did they update on the dash? i think there was a 2018 model that was silver for 8800 but with less stuff on it. the 2012 i found has an aftermarket cruise control on it. so id imagine that would fix some issues lol.

    also whats the es model?
that is a fair point that i didnt think about thanks! that is what i was kinda thinking as well when i saw it that the price seemed good for all the stuff added the only negative is its black haha.

That's my biggest gripe with Groms. I wouldn't want to spend more than 2500 on one and you're hard pressed to find one in northern Michigan for that price that isn't beat to hell.

Yeah, they seem to have their own "Toyota" tax  I have noticed prices have come down the last few months. I saw a 2022(I think) white SP for 3K a few weeks ago. That's my favorie color for a Grom

    It’s a complete new cluster in 2014.

es has the electronically adjustable suspension (and some other stuff). That’s the one I have, it’s pretty nice to change on the fly for when you have luggage / passengers / shitty roads.

not near enough lol 5500 I think. I hardly rode it the first few years I had it cuz I was gone all the time for work.

might go do the black hills BDR this year. or at least go ride around the black hills.

The FJR1300 has an ES version as well. I've ridden one and it's nice being able to so easily adjust suspension settings yet I don't know that I would be doing it that often once I find the one or two that work best for me. Solo and 2-up loaded for travel. I would thing the ST might be the same way. I do know that when a rear shock does eventually wear out the ES variant is around $2500 so that's an expensive piece. Myself, I'd rather just have the regular and upgrade the suspension with quality aftermarket stuff when the time comes. YMMV

If on the phone, you have to rotate sideways to see the sig......plus.......I like pics :D

I have a pic of mine in my sig too.......but I still don't look at it very often. It'd be nice to hover over the name or something and pics pop up :D
