    Good Morning to all.

If it were solely my decision, I would live in:
    1. Alaska
    2. Wyoming
    3. Utah
    4. Montana
    5. Idaho

As long as I can find decent pizza.:thumbsup:

Did you start them from seed?

I planted a crap ton of onions the other day and didn't keep count so I'm gonna tally them all up today.

I think I've gotten 6 or 7 varieties started

In order of preference excluding Montana I would probably go 3, 1, 2, 5.

I have no doubts. Idaho, Texas, Florida, and Tennessee have been the top "go to" states for fleeing Californians for several years now. Problem is, many of those Californians are of the sort that move to a new State, and then pollute it with their "views". That's why Idaho is at #5 on my list, and not higher. I am so thankful my in-laws ended up finding their dream house in Kentucky, rather than Tennessee, where they started looking first. I don't want to live in a State where outsiders are moving to with the intention of changing everything. I just wanna live, be left alone, and have the freedoms to do my thing, with no interference from Big Brother.

I've been through all 5 of those States, including Alaska. I've hunted Elk in Wyoming and Utah. I know Alaska is, and always has been extremely expensive to live, due largely to the fact that EVERYTHING has to be trucked or shipped in from 1500+ miles away. But... for my preferences, there just isn't anywhere else that compares to the stunning beauty of Alaska. I was only 11 when my family spent a summer there in 1978 visiting a family friend, but that experienced changed my life.

Grew up in California. One of the biggest reasons was the politics and it was the best move my family made. But Washington had the same issue Idaho is having now with people moving.

Yep. Oregon has also become "California part 2" for same reason. My wife and I, her parents, and brother all left northern California 3 years ago and we ended up in southeastern Kentucky. Other than the humidity, it is great here. It actually rains here!!! Everything is green all summer long, not dead, brown, and burning down.
