just a couple of things tbh
that should be a fun time then!

how many miles did you do last year lol
we could do it on page 1 tbh. find a first post or second post and have someone put the names as a tag with photos of the bikes. its like that in the local thread for tacomas in my area.
that does sound nice but that repair cost hoooly crap thats a lot! i do agree maybe normal shocks would be best

@Calamity_taco, why you needing a two up? Why not get her a bigger bike? :)

like 450. last year it seemed to be raining any weekend I was going to go then it went straight 90+ degrees all summer. Since I don't have to commute to work, that cuts out a whole lot of miles I could be riding.

I'm curious what it'll be like riding in the hot summer months. On my quad or SxS I'd just wear a t-shirt or something light just to cover my arms. On the bike I plan to continue wearing the riding jacket (at least it's vented a bit) and the Helite Vest (which probably blocks the venting, haha).

I wear a klim induction during the summer time if the weather is good. At a certain point, it just feels like you are riding in an oven and it doesn't really help.

but that one's "engineered to deliver exceptional airflow for comfort in the warmest riding environments"!!

Maybe I'll need to invest in one of them vests you soak with water.

I have a Sedici jacket that stays pretty cool with enough airflow. My pants on the other hand are denim and are the hottest thing known to man above about 75 degrees :bananadead:

Running the Alpinestars Venture out here. Front low pockets get airflow into the jacket, and sleeves unzip almost fully - with a dual zip so can adjust sections of the arm if wanted. Front can also zip up enclosed as shown, or with a vented full length section also, but I don't notice it as much as the pockets simply being open.[IMG]

ive thought about it but from what ive seen, if the humidity is high they dont work which rules out being useful here in the midwest.

haha gotta ask the mods on that one! but i doubt they would do that this site is old lol
she loves her little xr and we still want to do trips where its about 4ish hours or maybe a bit longer on one bike. unlike a lot of people in here it seems we love to ride two up together. yes its tons of fun riding separate but its also just fun for both of us to be together.
oh damn! i did that in like a month of riding if that last year lol.

that is true about the weather thou! i got caught in a few rain storms last year and the 90+ days were miserable! but i also just wear a t shirt and even then its still to damn hot lol

Oh, yeah,.... wasn't thinking about your locale. We don't get the humidity over here like you do! We've definitely soaked rags or shirts on hot dry days over here and it's a huge help.

Being up in the UP is nice because Lake Superior keeps it relatively cool. I don't think we had any days over 90 up here last summer. With that being said, yesterday it was 49 so we don't get much summer to enjoy.

I have something similar here. I have a textile JR jacket with a zip-in liner for colder weather. It breathes well when moving and has lots of venting options. I wore it this morning on my commute. It can get hot sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic. The removable liner is great.

My wife doesn't even like being a passenger in a car. She's been in a couple decent wrecks and gets anxiety with a lot of drivers.

She used to ride on the back with her dad when she was a kid, but that was a LONG time ago. She's happy to have her own bike now, and to be in control.

But yeah, nothing wrong with being together on the same bike. We just put a passenger seat and oem backrest on my wife's bike. Figure in a pinch, either of our bikes will now be able to haul a passenger if the other bike breaks down, or something. Don't plan on riding two up, but like the fact we could.

ah i gotcha my gf has no problem being what my mom has always called a nap-gator lol. so she likes being not in control a lot of the time to just relax.

for sure understand that one. anything can happen and having a bike down where someone has to sit there would suck lol.
