    Hey folks,

Got the OTT tune by RC Tuning in Florida (shout out Ralphy) and the old enduro bike speed junkie in me (not allowed to ride bikes anymore.. see: multi month hospital stays) must have the SC..

Not to be a braggart but money isn’t a huge problem (I just love my old truck; shout out job I hate) and want to build a very solid build list before I get it done by Timbo’s Customs in Lakeland (else, transmission by another).

Would love if the community can give recs on the build.. Yes I have reviewed the one larger thread on it and this list is semi-derivative. But any feedback would be great in terms of specific vendors/etc (been looking at URD as a source for some)

Want to get 400hp at the wheels and for it to be a Raptor killer (f*ck those guys). Curious on needed boost for that but want to balance reliability.

    List:
    • TRD air filter
      • Or entire intake? Or urd
    • Ratiotek shift kit transmission upgrade (btw they still sell the HD kits if you call them)
      • Magnusson SC for 4.0
      • Other things from SC from taco forum
      • Exhaust
        • Just y pipe? Or full
      • New tune from RC/OTT
      • Headers
      • Pully ribbed smooth flow
      • Belt
      • Boost bypass valve adjustment
      • Restrictor jet mod
      • Fuel pressure regulator mod
      • Tensioner
        • Billet
        • Shave stop mod
      • Silicon radiator hose
      • Thermostat mishimoto
      • Fuel pump upgrade
      • Radiator aluminum mod CSF or enlarged radiator
        • Intercooler??
      • Coolant pump mod
      • Intake mod?
        • Remove carbon At least
        • MAF
      • Cam gears
      • Gauges
        • Air fuel ratio
          • Afr sensor too
        • Boost
      • Filler neck reduction
      • XL oil filter

I missed that you already referenced that thread I linked, so great job finding and reading that already. I guess it’s helpful for other new people showing up in this thread to see the link to that anyway.

Keep us informed on your build plans!

To hit that number I would think a 7th injector, along with water/methanol injection, would need to be added. Or a new fuel pump that will let you run E85.

    Can of worms opened.

Did you already buy the SC? I think you'll have a better time building your Raptor killer with a Turbo or a Procharged setup.

The rest sounds pretty on point to get you there.

Definitely different pump but want to stay away from anything that would make daily drivin infeasible (e.g., meth inject; although I drive prob 5k miles a year).

Got 185psi in every cylinder on my 2009 this week :fingerscrossed:

Damn I’m open to it… just wanna stay reliable! Worried I’ve got too much weight with my sound dampening and spare tire

But yes pending actual SC purchase as don’t want to jump the gun.

Go procharger if you want more than 300 reliable hp.

Most of us are on 35s or bigger with armor, bumpers, fridges(wives), etc. Trust me you don't have too much weight.

There's nothing inherently unreliable about turbos or procharger they just have more potential. Any power adder will require supporting mods, and more power is going to stress things regardless.

Honestly, with the current price of the magnuson kit and engaging a shop to do the work, it may be about the same price in the end…

I just started my process on this, doing all my own work on it. Cam gears, SC, a bunch of the little stuff you mentioned as far as mods go. Still stock radiator for now. My next 2 steps are fuel pump replacement and URD sc pulley replacement. And I went with the AFE intake box filter, I like it.
