Is anyone here running the Carsync Tech Apple CarPlay module? I installed it last night and everything seems to work correctly except OBD Fusion. I can get it to ‘connect’, it shows a disconnect option then. But I can’t seem to figure out how to display dashboards.

I am. No dashboards. You have to configure screens. Shows a list of data points nothing fancy. I can get a shot of what it looks like later today Here is the setup on the iPhone

That’s my setup. Works fine. Not as cool as a gauge but gets the numbers I need. You can add a bunch more but then you have to scroll down to see them.

Thanks guys. I concluded the same after a fresh look at everything this morning. Now that I have two Apple screens to work with, I’ll need to figure out what goes where.

A/T Oil Temperature No.1 is the temp in the pan

A/T Oil Temperature No.2 is the temp in the torque converter

The temp in the pan and converter will match or be very close when the torque converter is locked, but when it unlocks the torque converter slipping generates heat and this temp will rise faster than the pan temp.

This does not exist in my app.
Thanks. I came across the answer a few pages back and deleted my question just before you responded.

Now I can't seem to get the gear one working. Is there no central database of all of the different options? I don't want to idle in my truck for hours trying to figure what is what lol

Gear PID is "Shift Status" and torque converter lockup is "Lock Up Status"

Does anyone know what the transmission temp range should be around? I have a 3rd gen taco. I was using my OBD 2 fusion on my weekend camping trip, and when I can get the truck in 4th gear it seemed happy and temps were between 195-200 F. But when I needed more juice and shifted to 3rd to climb a hill the temps shot up to 235 was the highest.

AT2 temp is the one that triggers the warning message on the dash. Service Manual does not have a clear specs for the temp, but there are indirect references to the temp being between 240-250°F to trigger the warning.

Towing a 5100 lb trailer up hill in 2nd gear I have seen 250 at the torque converter and 230 at pan temp. It's only for short periods and I do a drain and fill every year for the transmission fluid. The data you might see about temps floating around (or a chart posted) is if you have the specific temp for 1 hour then you get degradation. For a few minutes it's no big deal.
