    Each to their own.

IMHO there’s no reason to be impolite other than to puff oneself up.

I grew past that life stage long ago.

The truck is 4 - 5 years old and the dealership has to make some money on the deal.

I'm aware, i was saying 33 is a great offer. I am trying to gauge my 21 with 36k miles. I dont understand some of these buyers looking at 3rd gens for 5-10k less than new msrp. Makes zero sense unless super low mileage.

As I stated earlier, I sold my 2020 TRD Sport with 9500 miles on it to CarMax for $38,600. They have it listed on their site for $43,995.

It was the tech premium package, it had leather, sunroof and LED headlights. Also had a bed cover and side steps. 59k miles. Could have gotten a little more in a private sale but the trade in was worth another 2500 in tax savings.

well, its just negotiating technique, if you want to call it impolite, or puff oneself up whatever that means, stealing money from people through service and lying to buyers driving hours to find out they don't honor the online price, adjusted market value and so on, giving them a real offer if they take it or not its up to them no harm done to anyone, life goes on.

Never drive hours for a website price. That’s naive. They’re usually hiding stuff behind that attractive website price. Negotiate and get to the signed sales contract before you travel hours. Basic Vehicle Buying 101.

My point was that in negotiating, don’t poison the well. What might seem a bad deal at first sometimes turns out to be the best deal you can get - if you’re not an azzhole in the process. Piss them off and they’re less likely to work with you. There’s a steady stream of prospective buyers walking in the door all the time.

Approximately 5-6% off MSRP. So In the good deal range. Not a great deal which is closer to 10% or over. But if you’ve been looking for 9 months, at some point what is your time worth is also a consideration.

But also, to reiterate, as gpb said above, I would definitely have a sales contract with every bit of the cost structure, clearly laid out and signed by the manager. Especially with there being some uncertainty within it.

I definitely agree. I feel like it's a decent deal but in no way a great deal. I have had much better deals in the past. This is the first time that I will not have a trade as I sold my 2020 to CarMax. Seems if I get a great trade number, they smoke me on the new one or vice versa. Sometimes a little bit of both. Biggest problem is the color. I have my heart set on Wind Chill Pearl. I had a deposit with my local dealer for 6 months and got absolutely no where. Got my money back and found this one the next day, albeit 140 some miles away. I feel like I could drive a better deal but there are only 8 TRD Sports in WCP within 250 miles of me. Some have way more options than I want, so even though it's not the greatest deal I feel like if I blow it off over $900 more than I planned on I am gonna regret it later.

It's always something. Right color, too many options. Dealerships like to play the, yeah, but if you trade-in you're saving x amount of dollars. It's nothing but a game to them. Enjoy the new ride.

I ended up parting ways with my Pro and getting a Ranger Raptor. There is no dealer markup on them around me and they last about a day to a week on a dealers lot if they aren’t sold in transit.

I’ve had two tacomas and I had a Mustang I bought new that I drove for 5 years and it was bullet proof on terms of reliability for me, so I haven’t had any bad experiences with Ford. In fact, despite the interior of the new Pro looking fancier, the RR feels more solid inside and it’s quieter in terms of wind noise and road noise, the seats are WAY more comfortable AND you actually have a ton of room in the back seat without the gimmick seats. Also all the off-road stuff works so much better than in my old Pro or the new ones I tested. Want to lock your rear differential? Press the button and it’s locked immediately no matter what. Want to lock the Front? Same thing. No waiting, no shifting to neutral and 4 Lo and all that no creeping forward with a big clunk. Want to lock the rear in 2 wheel drive and haul ass? Done. Want to put it in AWD cause it’s raining and you don’t want to spin leaving a stop-sign? Tap the button. Want to change your suspension in your new 67k Pro? Go crawl under your truck 4 times. RR, hit the button on the steering wheel.

The crawl ratios are perfect. The stock equipment is better and more aggressive (K/O 3s with a full size spare for example).
Most importantly, it’s ridiculously fun off road and on road. It handles like a sports car in sport mode and sounds like a bat out of hell. You go off road and put it in Baja and it drives like the most powerful side by side you’ve ever sat in.

I just feel like Toyota has had their success in the category go to their heads, but I still love them and may come back if they come back to reality.

Looks good to me. Most of the deals I've seen on TW are approx. 9% below TSRP, and you're close to 10%.

I think I did okay? The doc fee seems a little excessive.

2025 TRD Off Road 4x4 base with manual transmission. The only options were heated seats, door edge guards, & mud flaps.

Impossible to know without this info. Did the discount include taking off for a bunch of dealer added options like nitrogen tires? What was your trade-in? If you got 5000 less than private party then that eats up a lot of the discount as well.
    1. Year, trim, color, transmission, bed
    2. MSRP(before dealer add ons)
    3. Options
    4. Cost of dealer add ons- (tint, floor mats, nitrogen, etc)
    5. Price before Tax Title License (TTL) including incentive/rebate
    6. Discount 1-(#5/#2)*100=% off MSRP)
    7. Incentive (rebate/customer cash)
