Just got back from our night walk and Dex lunged at a skunk in the dark, saw the dam thing go straight legged with its tail erect and noped the fuck outta there full sprint


If it happened again tonight or anytime in the foreseeable future I fucking will burn this entire neighborhood down lol

 

I’ve been seeing them around the last few weeks at night, also a few roadkill ones so they are out in force right now. Skunk time of year I guess

And all was justified

also a neighbor on the fb page posted a pic of a beefy looking rattlesnake in his yard, so just add that to the fun

When you mentioned that when we were out, that's when I remembered western diamondbacks being popular around Camp Pendleton

 

Yeah luckily I haven’t seen one yet, but we were warned about the snakes the first time I talked to our cool neighbor

My hound mix tangoed with the smelly striped kitty at least 4 times the last summer before selling my previous house. She had a doggy door and the first time it happened she came sprinting into the house straight for my bed to roll in the blanket and pillows trying to get it off


Luckily it only happened once while living in my camper but boy was that exterior shower handy

 

Snagged a little cutoff tool today, found it on the clearance table for $29! Got more than enough cutting options but figured I’ve got the 12v batteries now so worth a shot for that cheap.

 

If I’m replacing the shocks then I might as well upgrade to Fox which is not in the cards right now. But I like where your head is at lol. I just don’t have the wallet for it.
