Deepest spot is about an inch . Hopefully it stays this way .

 

Wish we had a house wif a basement

 

That’s nothing , when I bought this place 30 years ago there was a water mark on the concrete wall waist high in the basement . I’m 6’ tall .
The old boiler was a big block of solid rust and they installed electric baseboard upstairs. I had a large ditch dug and filled with cobble stone on the rear property line 4-6’ deep . Also hand trench half way up the back yard to divert water . Made a dirt berm on the side with a trench behind it diverts water from the rear of the house . It’s an actual flood plain across the road and not until the highway department did the county road over with some French drains and concrete swale shoulders did I find out most of the water in my basement was coming from across the road . It used to be a lot worse. This place built in the 1950s . No footing drains .

 

I would be better off without one

I have a quick question for all you 1st gen owners. Do all the 5VZE engines regardless of which year it is use the same oil filter. Yeah I know dumb question, but I need an answer quick

Cloudy and wet currently misty rain 46* real feel of 41*
Another 3/8” since I dumped the rain gauge. . That puts us around 3 and 5/8 inches since Thursday late afternoon. Water still coming in the basement but it’s under control.
