Very interesting. Is that heater heating the cooling fluid, or the oil, or both? Was there a plug in the block you had to remove to get the new heater inserted into? What fluid leaked out when you removed that plug?

Put it to work. And before anyone loses their mind, trailer has been sitting in one spot for a year. My F150 couldn’t move it due to spinning tires. Dual lockers and 4WLO and it came right out. It’s not going down the street behind it. Tires were sunk into the ground about 4 inches.

How are you finding the X3’s handle on the road? Are they super noisy for a mud tire?

Bonus points to Mr. Burk for living in FL yet having thoughtful questions about a block heater. Well done, Sir.

Thank you, thank you very much. Hey I never know when I might be heading up north. ;) I always thought the block heater was a great idea, and luxurious, also one that I never had owned while living in the rust belt where it would have come in handy during a few winters up there. And actually, would be nice to know if the install was simple and clean, or challenging and messy. :)

Having a pressure washer is great.

Yes, a pressure washer will change your life. Careful when using to blast off what you thought were bug guts that turned out to be a paint chip that suddenly enlarged as you applied the pressurized water to the “bug guts”. Not that I have first hand experience, said no one ever!

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
That block heater slides into a recess in the block and heats the block. No fluids, no plugs, just slide it in and run power.

they are very quiet for an mt. quieter than many ats ive had experience with. they wear like iron and wear evenly on both trucks ive ran them on without even rotating them. ride quality is also up with the best of them. basically the only flaw with these tires is they suck in the winter but pretty much all mud terrains do. i swap to general grabber atx for my winter setup.
