Mek Trail Armor the new goat?

For all those interested in protecting from pinstriping, Mek is launching a pre-sale of their Tacoma Gen3 dbsb armor in ghost camo. You can pre-order now and shipping is expected at the end of the month. Curious to see how these hold up.

Nah, Go Off-road Armor Tech already got the name. Sadly they are out of business.

 

Has anyone here used this? Considering ordering. A lot of the negative reviews on trust pilot seem to be user error.

And the paint buffed from the dust trapped by the magnet armor can't be topped, FTW!

 

Too much work. Before a wheeling trip, you have to wash the truck so you can throw the magnet sheets on. After the wheeling trip, you have to remove the magnet sheets, wash the truck and magnet sheets, then hang the magnet sheets to dry. Get a wrap if you're worried about pinstriping.

Incidentally Mek offers paint protection vinyl in lieu of magnetic sheets for Jeep JLs because much of the body is aluminum. Too bad they don't offer it for Tacomas.

I have pinstriping on my roof. And I can't even say I really go wheeling. I'm just a stubborn doofus who likes driving forest and mining roads.

I'll save the $800+ for detailing or finally bedlining this thing later on. They don't even have a long bed set, anyway.
