Heyy looking for some help. Recently got a set of 2024 landcruiser rims (pictures attached) and want to put them on my 2021 Tacoma.

Same 6 lug pattern but different bore sizes. My hub is 106.1 mm and think the rim is smaller so doesn’t fit. Believe need this conversion kit but not sure:

    https://www.spidertrax.com/whs036K

Is this the right kit? Do I need anything else? Different lugs?

Any help/advice would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

That appears to be the right adapter. You will need factory lug nuts for that wheel as the stud is a different size. That spacer should bring you to near a stock offset but honestly not sure why you would go through all of this for that wheel and tire combo....

    Appreciate the help.

They were gifted to me and current rims from my used Tacoma aren’t in great shape so figured would throw these on.

so besides the conversion kit I would need lug nuts for the wheels?

You could sell them and get something that fits.

I like the new LandCruiser but the wheels would probably be a the bottom of the list why I like it. Why not sell them and get some nice wheels that fit? Plenty of threads on here for 3rd gen wheels. I would'nt search for rims though, you may just get a pimp my ride thread.

    AI Analysis:

Fitting 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser wheels onto a 2021 Toyota Tacoma is not a straightforward swap due to differences in bolt patterns, center bore sizes, and other specifications. Here's a detailed breakdown:

    Bolt Pattern Compatibility
Since the Tacoma uses a 6-lug pattern and the Land Cruiser uses a 5-lug pattern, the wheels are not directly interchangeable.

    ️ Potential Solutions
    1. Wheel Adapters: To fit Land Cruiser wheels onto a Tacoma, you'd need wheel adapters that convert the 6x139.7 mm pattern to the 5x150 mm pattern. However, this is not a common conversion, and such adapters may not be readily available. Even if found, they could affect wheel offset, handling, and safety.Wheel Offset+3Wheel Sizes+3Wheel Sizes+3

    2. Custom Wheels: Opting for custom wheels designed for the Tacoma's 6x139.7 mm bolt pattern would be a more reliable and safer choice.
    Center Bore and Offset Considerations
    • Center Bore: The Tacoma's center bore is 106.1 mm. If Land Cruiser wheels have a different center bore size, hub-centric rings would be required to ensure proper fitment.

    • Offset and Backspacing: Even with the correct bolt pattern, differences in wheel offset and backspacing can affect vehicle handling, suspension geometry, and clearance.Tire Wheel Guide+1Wheel Offset+1Wheel Offset
    ✅ Recommendation
Given the significant differences in bolt patterns and other specifications, it's advisable to choose wheels that are specifically designed for the 2021 Toyota Tacoma. This ensures compatibility, safety, and optimal performance.

Don’t listen to these fools. OEM Toyota wheels are the way to go. They are higher quality and lighter than most aftermarket manufactures. If you like them get the adaptors!

Completely worthless post as the first post includes a photo of a 6-lug wheel. If you’re going to bother wasting energy making an AI query, at least double check it with your brain.

definitely try to sell the cruiser wheels and buy the OEM wheels that came on the truck originally. This is what finicky Toyota buyers want on resale.

Ah, thanks for the clarification — if the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser wheels are 6-lug, that changes things quite a bit. Let's break it down again with the updated assumption.

    ✅ Updated Bolt Pattern Compatibility
    • 2021 Toyota Tacoma: 6x139.7 mm (6x5.5”)

    • 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser (J250 platform): Also uses 6x139.7 mm
So yes — bolt pattern-wise, the wheels can physically bolt up.

    ⚠️ Other Fitment Considerations
Even though the bolt pattern matches, these other specs still matter:

    1. Center Bore
    • Tacoma: 106.1 mm

    • Land Cruiser J250: Early info suggests it's around 106–110 mm
      • If the Land Cruiser's center bore is larger (common), the wheels will fit, but you may need hub-centric rings to eliminate vibration.

      • If it’s smaller (unlikely), they won't fit without boring out the center.
    2. Offset & Backspacing
    • Tacoma: Typically around +25 to +30 mm

    • Land Cruiser J250: Early reports suggest +45 to +55 mm
That’s a significantly higher offset, which means:

    • The wheel sits further inward toward the suspension.

    • You may have clearance issues with control arms, brakes, or inner fenders.

    • Visually, the wheels may look "tucked in" too far.
    3. Wheel Size
    • If the Land Cruiser wheels are larger (e.g., 18" or 20") and you're running stock Tacoma brakes and suspension, check for:
      • Clearance inside the wheel for calipers.

      • Tire size compatibility (diameter, width).
    ✅ Recommendation (Updated)
If the bolt pattern is indeed 6x139.7 and the center bore is equal to or larger than 106.1 mm, yes, the Land Cruiser wheels can fit physically.
However, the offset difference could make them a poor functional fit without spacers, and they may alter handling or rub on suspension components.

Would you like me to check the exact specs for the 2024 Land Cruiser wheels (diameter, width, offset, center bore)?

    Lug Nut Compatibility Checklist
    1. Seat Type
      • Tacoma OEM wheels typically use conical (tapered) seat lug nuts.

      • Some Toyota OEM wheels, especially from SUVs like the Land Cruiser, use flat or mag-style seats with washers.

      • Match the seat style of the Land Cruiser wheels. If they’re mag seat, you must use mag seat nuts — Tacoma's acorn-style won't seat properly and could be dangerous.
    2. Thread Pitch
      • Both the Tacoma and modern Land Cruisers (J250) use M12x1.5 thread pitch, so you're fine there.
    3. Lug Nut Diameter/Length
      • OEM mag-seat lug nuts may be longer and have washers.

      • Just ensure they thread fully and seat correctly — no cross-threading or bottoming out before tightening.
✅ Summary of What You Likely Need
    • New lug nuts that match the Land Cruiser wheels' seat style (mag or conical).

    • Possibly hub-centric rings if the Land Cruiser wheels have a larger center bore (e.g. 110 mm vs Tacoma's 106.1 mm).

    • Optional: Small spacers (3–6 mm) if the high offset causes inner clearance issues.

Please stop the lazy spamming with sloppy AI results posing as analytic and providing so called specifications.

AI brought us human images with 6, or 4, or maybe 7 fingers.

People don't join TW for sloppy ai searches they could do themselves. They join for firsthand experience and wisdom from actual people who have done the actual work.

yall didn't even ask this poor fella what bore sizes were that he was working with and you cant even tell him which lug nuts to use. I think the AI info is great supplemental info that most folks appreciate. Click the ignore buttun if you want to censor input I think that's what they do in this chat room

If you really took the time to read the OP's first post. And then clicked on all of his links and thoroughly read through them. You would not need the crappy AI. You would understand the what, when and how of the issue at hand. But you didn't, and now your are getting called out for it. Just stop and don't do it any more. Problem solved that you created!

Now on to the wheels. I am with some of the others. Sell them, which they will sell, and buy some OEM'S off of Facebook or the classifieds here on the forum.
