Dang, someone should tell Toyota about this! For $200 the truck gets better MPG. This could make them billions. How has no one ever heard of the Thompson chip?! Money back guarantee. I’m listening!

I didn’t have a plan for a 4th gen either……..really happy with my 2021 TRD Sport with my OTT Tune……..”life” had a different plan…….hurricane Beryl totaled it July 2024 (along with my home and wife’s Lexus).

    I'm sorry to hear that.

Reason I say what I say...the 4th Gen is fine the way it is.

I drove a 2024 Limited as a Loaner and simply enjoyed it As-is.

I agree…….4 cyl turbo is a plus, same with 8 Spd tranny, and the rear suspension upgrade fantastic BUT I miss things I had in my 3rd gen……..electric seat………
SHOULD have been Standard equipment……not $4500 upgrade to get Premium package

Don't care what you use for a pic, the other helps people responding to you. Maybe you want people to give you advise on a 2nd gen...nothing wrong with that I guess. Whatever works for you.

edit: It's not just me, it's a forum thing. How are people supposed to get info? Read your mind? Sorry I tried to help.

I saw your profile but disregarded current info...since you had a testimonial...and we were talking back-n-forth.

    Sometimes people interject without knowing.

@OldSchlPunk I sympathize with ya, a lot of people on this forum really struggle to understand how forums work.

    Silly me,
I thought the TOPIC OF THE POST, or THE QUESTION POSTED is what the focus is, NOT who or what a posters profile says…….(most info is “optional”)
Been on the forum since 2020.
pS…….to avoid any confusion…..deleted “2010 Silver Tacoma TRD Sport”

It's usually what is expected...to stay on target...do not derail...that sort of thing.

The focus should be the Topic in the thread.

Been on Forums since 2011...started with a motorcycle one at that...AND it has taken lots of experience to see the ebbs and flow of a Forum Platform.

He referenced specific gens. Pretty easy to comprehend.
