The visible rust wasn't what scares me, it's what might be inside the frame. I have a boroscope somewhere and would look into the holes to see how bad that was.

Not everyone hits the trails so I think the market would do very well for a 2004 stock Tacoma. In the past when I went off roading I did it in a vehicle I built just for that not my daily driver.

Some of us also need 4WD just to get around on-road if we see serious winter weather where we live. And even if you live somewhere where that isn't the case, a guy might wanna travel somewhere where winter weather conditions are a concern from time to time, and its nice being able to so whenever you'd like

I can concur with that. I need to be thinking out of the box more because where I live, we rarely have inclement weather so the use of a four-wheel-drive is just mainly for play only.

Contact the Seller and ask for some pics of the engine bay, and the frame from front to rear. Just don't jump on one, that you'll regret later on. If you go and look at one in person, take a small hammer and test the frame for weak spots. If the owner won't allow, then I'd pass unless the frame is truly in pristine condition. Good luck!!!!

I'm going to "assume" that you're located in Jacksonville Florida. I'd concentrate my search in all the Southern states, and the South Western States. I searched for 6 months or longer before I found mine. If you'd like I have a lot of free time on my hands, and could help you in your search. Let me know what you're looking for in a Tacoma, years, engine, transmission.

If the undercarriage looks as good as the rest of this truck it's a beauty, but $22 grand is a little steep. But someone will pony up the money and buy it. Bring a trailer has sold some hight dollar Tacomas, and this one is in the same category.
