He is putting a TDI in his new buggy and volunteered to help me if I buy materials since he is using 2" tube as well. I couldn't pass on the offer..

The right angle into the throttle body would be awesome if you can slowly increase the diameter until it matches the throttle body. Kinda like a 2 stroke pipe.

You running water/meth? Or did I miss an IC somewhere? How much will the 3d print differ from metal pipe in heat dissipation?

That may be an option... Ill check with my buddy..

No water/meth or IC. With the speeds I see, the IC doesn't make that much of a difference. At least it didn't on my 2rz in my other truck. No clue on the difference in heat dissipation. The charge pipe will be all aluminum except for the 90 degree boot on the turbo, BOV tee and the 2.75 to 2" reducer at the throttle body.

Water/air IC does well in equatorial climates. Worth a look.

Not saying they don't have their place, I'm just keeping this as minimalist as possible. I have to cram 10 lbs of crap into a 5 lb bag with the space available under the hood.

Barrel style with a small heat exchanger will definitely outperform any air/air and take less space overall.

Here's a question I thought I'd never ask... Is anyone interested in buying my turbo manifolds? No turbo included but I can facilitate purchasing one that fits the kit and is sized well for the engine. The only parts I'd be selling are the drivers side manifold, crossover, passenger side manifold, downpipe, exhaust manifold gaskets, and the materials to weld in a turbo drain bung to your oil pan (or if you send your pan to me I'll weld it in). Before the sale I'll add a flex section to the crossover and change both crossover flanges to v-band to aid in easier installation. The manifold kit is built/sized to make high power on a 5VZ and I don't believe I've really pushed it with my own power goals and turbo choice haha. I got a little greedy for power but I never forgot that this is a wheeling truck and I needed to stop somewhere :p But the option exists for someone who wants to make horsepower in the 600s without the manifolds being the restriction. As it sits it has reliably and effortlessly made 405hp and 482lb ft of torque at the tires on my truck. I could probably be talked out of the turbo for the right price too I guess.

Before anyone asks, I am not going back to NA or selling the truck. @2RZNoShi1 and I are going to start producing our own Schd10 fully stainless 5VZ manifolds and my truck is going to be used for mockup and testing before producing more, so like... gotta test/run what you make right :D

No room for equal length in any sort of producable capacity. Could do a one off I'm sure but the whole thing would be a packaging nightmare from start to finish and lord knows where you'd fit a downpipe. But I'd love to hear it, would sound great

Messenger_creation_9CB03441-9F49-4ACB-8E2F-C3505B95A133.jpgThis is the revised one. Pretty excited to finally get started!

I don't think there is a possible way to fit true equal length manifolds in anything close to a stock truck. You'd likely have to have the fender skirts removed entirely, and then one of your sides would need a mile of extra pipe to match the side requiring a crossover.
