Isuzu made a wonderfully terrible 5-cylinder gasser for the Chevy Colorado for like 5 minutes.

 

This is what I thought of when I saw that.

Whether gas or diesel, a 5 cylinder just seems unusual. I'll take 4 or 6.

Honda made a V5 that kicked ass in MotoGP for a bunch of years...and then Ducati caught up.

V5! Transverse! Three cylinders in front, two in back. (Motorcycles like narrow) One liter displacement, 280 HP, 19k rev limit.

 

I know very little about bike engines. That kind of stuff is fascinating though

I only know how to take things apart and put them back together.

 

I can take stuff apart. But there will be parts that don't get reinstalled.
