:rain: :rain: and more :rain:. I have to get the waders out..
The wife called the "we can save you money on your medicare" number...big mistake because the insurance company calls all the time plus I think they sell people's numbers because it's always a different company . I tell her never call any number you see in an ad as it's probably sales call.

You make it sound bad... and complicated. It's not unless you make it. We've had the same plan/supplemental for years and several procedures, and considering what we would have paid out without it the insurance has been the most cost saving per hour of effort you could ever hope for.
I'm not a fan of the car and house insurance industry, but our health insurance has done us well.

    Good Morning:hattip:

Very foggy here this morning , NWS Dense fog advisory

The traffic circle nearby my place confuses motorists now since the county added a bicycle lane

We’ve/I have only been on it since the first of the year. It took some time sorting it out with different plans for my and I. The hassle was on the front end, so far, so good.:fingerscrossed:

Not that bad. I get hernia surgery Monday. So far they are telling me not one penny out of pocket.

I'm looking forward to it. Wife got laid off a year ago so we had to scramble for insurance. She is 65 in July so I have a few more months of bad insurance and high costs

Interesting this Medicare talk comes up today. A former co-worker, who retired a month before me, texted me this morning asking if I noticed the huge drop in United Healthcare's stock this week. A little research shows they are down 38% YTD, their CEO abruptly resigned recently, and they are facing potential securities fraud charges.

I've been on Medicare since Jan of '24. A bit more out of pocket than I expected, but luckily I don't see the doctor often. :fingerscrossed:

Never got any out of pocket for either of my cardiac ablations, or either of my wife's knees.
Are you getting a mesh sheet put in? I've had one for thirtyish years (?) and still have tweaks as the internal stitches pull when I move.

Medicare along with a supplemental plan I think is great. I’ve experienced very little out of pocket expenses. My wife recently fell and broke her hand and banged her head and knee. Went to ER where they did lots of imaging including a brain CT to make sure no brain bleed. Bill was a little over $10,000. Medicare and supp. paid 100%. I had kidney stone surgery a couple years ago. They paid 100%. Prescription coverage is also good. Average prescription costs $10. Generics $3 to $5.
The worse part of it was figuring it all out when I first signed up for Medicare and my supplemental. It was very confusing but now it all makes sense, no problems. We are so fortunate to live in this great country.

‘Confuse’ is the whole idea! The Medicare receiver will give up trying to figure out what’s best for them, hence, gobermen will have more jobs created to help these folks.

Our Medicare adviser was a completely private company, walked us through the process and the different insurance companies plans . She didn’t sell the insurance plans. She also does retirement planning, and consulting

Yes polypropylene patch. I got the left side in 1998 and no problem no tweaking. Maybe your doctor skimped on the stichery??

    Evening all:

Tweaking to me means fine tuning or minor adjusting if something is off a bit.

Same here, can't get anything done outside

    /twēk/
    1. 1. twist or pull (something) sharply.

Surgeon told me where and how they tie the patch in. I could see if the stitch pitch was too coarse might feel it tweak

But I would take even that right now vs feeling of getting kicked in the nads 24/7
