I don't recommend it. If I recall correctly, I had to get a press for the tundra axles but I think the taco ones were able to get out just by undoing the bolts and getting creative. But yes, buy two seals and make sure they sit absolutely perfectly when you put them in.

Probably wouldn't hurt to extend your breather waaaaaaaay up high off the diff since you drive a submarine nowadays.

On a different note: About 2 weeks ago, I put some weed and feed down. A few days ago, I walked outside one morning and the weeds were laughing at me and flipping me off!

Yesterday, sh$t got serious! Bastards aren't laughing any more! F&ck you, dandelions (and others)!!!

 

My neighbors probably thought I was nuts, yesterday.
Out in my front yard plucking out about 2 dozen dandelions by the root.

I keep a nice lawn but I let it go for a couple years. Weeds take over fast when left untreated.

It's difficult to get rid of them but once they're gone it's easy to keep them gone. That's why I was plucking the last of them. Gotta get the roots or those mofos keep coming back.

 

Let me know what you find. If I wasn't busy this weekend I'd be tempted to take a ride myself.

 

I've have the Lawnmower Reistance breed of dandelions. Either they don't grow high enough to get cut, or they see the lawnmower coming and they duck down. After I drive over them they get back up and laugh at me.
I'll show them who's the boss.

I use a lift and never look at the top of the tranny. Maybe that is the awful noise my truck makes at idle now.

 

That's a good possibility. Those vanes could be hiding all kinds of surprises
