Yeah, I don’t have to pay my adviser either. He is working as part of the non-profit agency.

Some kind of outdoor storage cabinet arrived yesterday. Wifey ordered it, I'll assemble it, move it, install it, fill it with stuff, etc. We have way too much "stuff" already. I hope I can get my garage back someday... (enter laughter here).

And most of the stuff they are storing they might as well throw away because once in the storage unit they never see it. My sis paid for three huge storage unites for thirty years, to store my parents stuff after they died. High quality antiques, really nice collectibles... including at least two Charles Schulz/Peanuts panels. (Mom corresponded with him)... and when my sis moved to Florida her son called the Salvation Army and had them come get everything.

Ours didn't charge us anything either. He said he was paid to consult already and it was a service that was part of the deal. He was exceptional and found us much better than we were expecting.

A few years ago my g/f and I were asked to help move a former coworker of hers. This lady was on the autism spectrum and had a serious attachment to some of her belongings which we were putting in a storage unit. I honestly hated doing it. Not because I minded helping someone or the physical labor of helping someone move. I hated the fact that this person was going to spend more in storage unit fees in just a few months than the total value of the items being stored. Much of it was art and drawing supplies, which if left in an unheated storage with no form of climate control would be ruined before she ever went back to retrieve them.

Unfortunately trying to communicate this concept to her was impossible and just led to her becoming increasingly agitated.
