apparently it's a Star Of Bethlehem and they are known for taking over like a weed and being toxic to animals so I may end up relocating this one before the dog has a chance to munch on it

Oh okay, yeah tuning is going to be a good bit different for a truck with a 4cyl, no armor, and 600lb springs. Deavers are also really soft and if you're under damped in the rear you can feel that as stress on the front as added body roll. As far as the rear on its own stands, you should take a picture at ride height of how the spring arch looks. But usually unless they have a lot of arch you tend to want less rebound and a little more compression.

Don't forget that Tim's truck is a custom trail limo. He's probably carrying 500lbs+ more on the front wheels than I am.

My Deavers have a bit of arch, not a ton. I took the shortest leaf out to lower ride height. I think I'm about 1" over factory right now, based on the measurement spec given in the FSM. I don't want a tall truck. I wouldn't mind being even lower than I am but I'm not sure taking another leaf out is a good idea.

Well I did it, been stewing on it for awhile particularly the cost but I need a personal computer outside of work, especially if things keep going the way they are. Buh bye 3 grand

@Wulf thanks for the recommendation on refurb, saved a few hundred that I was able to put on the Apple care package

No worries brosef, even Apple can't get in the way of what we have :anonymous:

Really though I see a ton of Apple hardware that just seems to work really well with video editing, photography, and more so it only makes sense for it to be so popular.

Kind of funny how Sony tried that way back with their Viao line-up only for it to flop. I will say though, I did actually use Sony Vegas back in the day for light editing.

My only gripe is with how expensive small upgrades are for memory and storage. Watched a video recently on a cheap $200 solution for a 2tb drive for a Mac Mini vs Apple's +$800 cost.

thr closed ecosystem and expensive hardware is admittedly shitty… but for photo editing/writing software i have had much better experiences on mac. my last windows laptop was left behind like 7 years ago when i stopped writing .NET and i havent looked back

I actually don't even think I would complain that much now that their silicone is very competitive. I just don't like that somehow that gave them the right to go back to 2008 levels of RAM. Every system comes standard with 8 gigs right now. I don't care how much better they think their OS optimizes RAM usage I promise you programs written for them still don't.
