So, I haven't had health insurance since January 2024, due to my job loss. I haven't needed any medical attention, but my wife had been pestering me to apply for Medicaid. I finally gave in last month, and applied. Initially I got a rejection notice saying I was not eligible, but no reason as to why/why not. Oh well, what ever. So then last week I get this big packet of info in the mail from WellCare of Kentucky. No letter of explanation, nothing telling me I had actually been accepted... then yesterday, I get my new Medicaid insurance card in the mail. Ok... so I guess I was accepted. Cool. I notice there is already a primary care doctor listed on the card, but not the doctor I have been going to since we moved to KY in 2022. I lookup "How to change your PCP" in one of the pamphlets I received last week, go to their web site and 'Find a Provider'. My doctor is not listed. So then I poke around a bit more, and find a giant PDF document Provider Directory By County. So I start scrolling... Kentucky has 100+ counties, but they are listed alphabetically. My county is not listed. Anywhere. I double check. Triple check. It ain't there..... So then I decide to lookup this other doctor listed as my PCP on the Medicaid card. I search for her.... she isn't listed, either. WTF??? So I go to my existing doctor's medical group web site, find their section on "Insurance plans we accept"... and what do you know - WellCare of Kentucky Medicaid is listed right there. So, I'm going to have to call the WellCare people to find out what the hell they are doing, and how can I get them to assign me to my existing doctor. I might even ask why they assigned me to a provider that isn't listed in theor own web site's Provider list. Just for giggles.

My last set of tires were dynapros. I’d rate them okay as the rear tire rain traction did decrease a bit after they were worn down.
