IDK if Fandango counts, but Warfare. About all I will say is if you're a veteran and still bothered by the things you saw there, I'd skip this.

 

The Jimmy Show (2001). Prime. What a sad but well made film. Poor Jimmy is hard-headed and uncompromising. He just don't get it till, maybe, it is too late when he sees his family get on a train to start a new life in another city.

Paris is Burning (1990). Max. Documentary on NYC drag queen scene in 1980’s. Informative and eye opening.

 

New daredevil on Disney+ has been pretty entertaining. Just finished episode 5

Another Woman (1988). Tubi. Good drama piece by Woody Allen. Did not know Hackman had a supporting role, and a good one.

The Conversation (1974). Prime. Hackman shines; has a young cast about to break out - Cindy Williams, Harrison Ford, Teri Garr …

 

Love, Death & Robots, Volume 4. Another collection of animated short stories.

Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (1967). Tubi. I’ve been meaning to watch for a long time and it didn’t disappoint. A good solid cast.

Choke (2008). Prime. Entertaining dark comedy with Sam Rockwell.

The Andromeda Strain (1971). Prime. A bit long-winded at first, but picks up and finishes well. Entertaining to see those early computers chugging along.

King Rat (1965). Tubi. Started off a bit long-winded but gets funny after the rat scheme.

Noises Off (1992). Prime. Funny and something a bit different.

Coincidentally, Denholm Elliott was in both these films. Sadly, he died of AIDS a couple months after Noises Off was released. I looked up his bio and hadn't known he was a British POW in WW2.

 

Running Point, Netflix. Kinda wants to be Ted Lasso but falls short, though it does have its moments

when she contacted Richie to sell out Conrad's daughter (and it blew up in her face) that obliterated any doubts I may have had about her double crossing her husband. At first I thought maybe she was just trying to do the things she thought he couldn't, but no. She's trying to undermine the entire thing to take control herself imo.

 

I just searched and there are 10 episodes for S1.

Newest season of Criminal Minds. OVer last idk how long made my way through all 17 seasons. I have enjoyed it a lot

 

Midway, the 2019 version on Netflix. Surprised I hadn’t seen it yet. CGI is a little much. But it’s got a strong cast and the acting is good.

 

Watching Switched at Birth tv series. Definitely have to pay attention since part of the show has subtitles when the actors are speaking with ASL.

 

Birdy (1984). Tubi. Great little gem of a film. Had never even heard of it and it came out in my senior year in HS. Saw it on a watch list of great movies that have been forgotten. Great ending.

Enemy (2013). Tubi. Now that was a bit trippy movie, especially that ending that went over my head. Had to look it up - it didn’t have to be so cerebral.

The End of the Tour (2015). Tubi. Despite mostly dialogue, the movie did not lose my attention. Well written and directed.
