    Well according to the internet…
The Continental Divide runs through North Dakota, but its elevation is relatively low, with a notable sign on I-94 indicating an elevation of 1490 feet. This is quite a bit lower than the Continental Divide's typical elevation in other parts of North America, such as in the Rocky Mountains

Find a set of take offs for $500, lots of them for sale on TW and MP. Give the Toy a slight new look and make the next set of tires easier to find.

The first few lightning strikes were on the telephone pole across the street when we were working in the garage. Inevitably I was holding, sitting on, or leaning up against something metal and got current off of it. And whoever said that lightning doesn't strike the same place twice is FOS. I saw that telephone pole take it up the keister from lightning every summer when I was a kid. Yeah it hurt and left small burns where we were touching metal.

Then the 93 ranger I was driving took a hit in about 1998. It shut the truck off and erased the radio settings but other than that, no biggie. No pain other than being deaf for about 3 hours. Clutch in, coast to the side of the road and start her back up. The flash was so white hot, I swear to this day I saw the hem on God's robes.

Last one was in Greenspoint, Houston, Texas around 2006ish. I was getting out of my truck in a down pour - real Texas flooding deluge. One of those 3 or 4 inches in an hour storms. The parkingl lot was already an inch or two deep and leaves were clogging the drain. Of course being captain safety I parked under a light parking lot light pole. It was about at the rear door of my Xterra as I was getting out. Maybe 4 feet away from me? No where to stand but in a puddle of water. Then WHAMO. That pole got hit and I came-to upside down in the passenger floor board. That one hurt. I smelled like burning hair, my right eye socket hurt for a week, body hurt for a few days. Doc said the instant muscle contraction was going to take a while to not hurt. And I've had tinnitus since that day, and it's gotten worse with age. When I came to after that strike, I dot my stuff and dragged ass in to work debating if I was going home or not. Sat at my desk while people came by to say they saw it happen. Power was out to the building. About 30 minutes later we were told that the strike took out our battery back up switch and they sent us home. I just drove straight to my doctor.

The first few were somewhere between exhilarating and fun to mildly annoying. The truck was inspirational. And the light pole was enough that I can tell when lighting struck within 5 miles of my location before the weather app can alert me. I don't FK around with it any more. Love a good thunderstorm, but from INSIDE MY HOUSE. Pretty sure I've had about 7 to 9 years blasted off the end of my life from lightning.
