Rubs a little on full turns. Who knows what to cut?

 

I wasn't following which is why I ask...what tire size and wheel off-set you got?

With my TRD Lift 2" Lift, my target is 275/70R17 and zero off-set.

 

285/70/17. -12

 

And that's on OEM height?

 

Bilstein 6112’s gave me about 2”

 

Sorry...it looked stock height.

I notice clearance on other TRD Tacoma's now that I have the TRD Lift done.

Yours doesn't look as prominent as mine in comparison.

Probably because you have the BIG Wheels/Tires.

 

I may be off tomorrow… if so, I can definitely swing by. Just let me know what you’d like to know. Obviously, I’ll take plenty of pics of the frame and undercarriage.

Here's what I'm contemplating when it's time for new wheels/tires.

As far as the cut goes… best thing to do is go to full lock and crawl under and see where the contact is. Take a wax crayon and mark it. Then do the other side the same. It’s hopefully just a little plastic trimming at the back of the wheel well. I took tiny snips to trim and then a razor knife to make the cuts neat. Dremel with a cutoff wheel will do ok, but they tend to melt as they cut… so you’ll still need to go back with a razor to clean it up.

Sooooo, you jumped to 17s...interesting.

Since mine came with 17s, I figured I stay with and go a little wider/taller with some "Pokey!"

Granted, I don't wanna do any trimming so I'm leaning towards the 275s because @Dream Weaver has them on his 2018 Sport so I got an idea of what they would look like.

 

I got the wheels/tires/sensors for $700. I had to give it a try.

My plan is to only work a half a day, call them and see if they will hold it until I get there to check it out. Its had three owners and two minor front end incidents so lets hope its still a nice and honest truck. I’m getting kind of desperate in my search for a 2013-15 ACLB TRD sport

Hagerstown got hit a little bit. Just a bit south of work in Williamsport they were evacuating an apartment complex due to water rising on the Potomac. The Conococheauge Creek just down from the house got really high and almost touched the bottom of the covered bridge. Supposed to get 1-2 inches this morning. There goes some of my plans on my day off...

Welp...im pulling the tires off right after I finish this post. The rub is too much and I am not willing to do the cutting that would be necessary. Impulsive behavior sucks. Anyhow, any member that is interested in the wheels/tires/sensors I will sell them for $700. Putting them on Marketplace for $800 which is still a good deal. Im now thinking of ordering Rough Country steel grey wheels in 16x8 -12 offset with Falken ATW4's in 255/85/16. Can be sure those wont rub with my stock UCA's and a Bilstein 6112 set at 10/8?

 

Dang, sorry to hear that. The truck looks good but I get it. Not only is it annoying, it’s embarrassing when you gotta back into a spot and the truck makes those sounds lol.

If it’s rubbing the cab mount, nothing you can do without chopping that with stock UCA. If it’s the front, you can use a heat gun, heat the plastic and push it away and it’ll harden.

If your alignment shop knows what they’re doing, they might be able to move your wheel forward with the LCA and still get you a good alignment but you could still rub.
