2012 Tacoma, the little plastic pieces between the individual leaf springs, what is the proper (Toyota) term? I’ve searched isolators, cushions, nothing for a Tacoma comes up. Even looked on rockauto.com, doesn’t show it. I’ve got a piece of polyethylene in it right now and the squeak is gone, but there is no pin to keep it in place so it’s gonna fall out at some point.

I have no idea of part info, but I’ve been led to believe this stuff is worth it…

EDIT: I think I found what you’re looking for… called a leaf spring tip insert. I looked for end cap to find it…

The last ones I bought said they fit a Ford, they were sent back because they didn’t fit a Toyota. The ones I need have an oval (more like a stretched out circle) locating pin. Thanks though! I think the locating pins on the ones I ordered were too big, it shouldn’t be this hard!

I saw squares with oval… Amazon seems pricey… listed at less than a dollar each…

    Morning folks :pccoffee:

Took today and tomorrow off. Got to get my thinking cap on, gotta plan out and get some materials for tomorrows plumbing project. Probably $300 worth of fittings I'll wind up with o_O

If I can get past that one fitting I'll be ok. I do have a SHTF backup plan I think :goingcrazy:

One (kind of) good thing about plumbing jobs is you can always spend your way out of a problem as replacements are available for just about anything -- different than an old machine where parts just aren't available at any price.

This bugger right here I know is going to fight me.

3/4 x 1/2 male adapter. If it was 3/4 x 3/4 I'd be good, but if I'm re-doing everything I want more volume. I have a medium sized pipe wrench and a co-workers let me borrow another one. That pressure gauge has also been stuck on 58 psi for a couple years :anonymous:

For the SHTF moment if the fitting doesn't come off I'm going to flush cut it off with a hacksaw and since the outer threads are 1" I'm gonna get a 1" brass coupling and a 1 x 3/4 brass bushing and go from there.
