FR pro bed rack kit AND tonneau cover

I was wondering if anyone runs a hard tonneau cover with this rack. And which one works well?

25 SR5, 4dr, 5ft bed

I don't see any way it would work with a hard tonneau cover since the rack is mounted to the bed rails which are completely covered with a hard tonneau cover.

 

Trying to figure out something to make it easy to carry a kayak or occasional lumber. And be able to lock up snowboard gear etc.

 

This rack is designed to be used with tonneau covers.

Unfortunately my tonneau is thicker than 1”.

 

what cover do you have?

 

Extang Solid Fold ALX. It’s pretty thick.

 

how wide is it across the top?

 

I’ll measure it more accurately in daylight tomorrow.

It’s 1.75” thick and that’s with the rubber gasket below the actual cover compressed.

If you want precise measurements, I would advise reaching out to Extang. I think they are owned by RealTruck now.

 

We have racks that will fit over that cover, but not the VRS.

 

I ended up with a retrax and a leitner rack.

now I’m wondering if I can get this Yakima rack to jive with a tslot mount.
