Which msi monitor is that?

 

Very nice.

I find it extremely confusing when they update one or two things on a monitor or swap out the panel but they don't make it clear what they actually did with the new model.

I also see that Samsung and Lenovo finally dropped 3D monitors without glasses. The tech is about 10 years too late. I doubt anyone is very interested now.

 

its their cheapest 4k IPS monitor, been great so far though honestly. Eventually I’d like to go OLED but this was my first 4k setup so I didn’t want to go all out just yet. MAG 323UPF

 

I wouldn't wait however long it takes nVidia to drop these, but it looks like they're listening and their Super product line will come with more VRAM.

I'm still salty that they've confirmed no PC version at launch and likely a year delay past the console launch until we will see a PC version.

 

I see the 5060Ti 8 GB reveiws are savage. I did not have, "some nVidia 60 series cards get trounced by the B580 at half the price," on this years bingo card.

At least there's the 16 GB model, even though it's substantially more expensive. I can't wait for AI to die so we can make nVidia great again jks.

I see that AMD is also coming with a 8 GB 60-series card. They're both terrible for this since most buyers will opt for the cheaper card or prebuilt without knowing it will limit their ability to play games at native resolutions.

 

I'm loving Oblivion Remastered. I'm getting ~200 fps with FSR 4 and high settings with ray tracing. I will say though, this game must kill lower end hardware. I'm seeing spikes of 14 GB of video memory use, and Unreal 5 hammers the CPU (9800X3D) sometimes.

 

Goddamn I love Oblivion but I'm resisting it thus far. I have like 250hrs in the original or something dumb, it was the first TES game I ever played. I also didn't play it until a lot of the mods had come out to improve stuff like the graphics and inventory system. (typical Beth game nearly unplayable out of the box) I recall I had one of those early enormous Asus G series laptops back then that would absolutely melt down when running it. (it also failed due to thermal paste failure later...)


I might snag it if it goes on a Steam sale or something. I also refuse to pay $70 for Dark ages.

 

My daughter says her PC is having a hard time with it. She's running a 6800XT and a 5800X CPU.

I will likely grab it for the PS5. My 5600X and 6650XT only dreams of being a gaming rig.

 

You could grab a couple of months of PC Gamepass, and get access to both games for less. I mean, you don't own them, but if you just want to play them through it's a good option.

 

Yea that's what I did for Starfield actually. I have since canceled it but that's a good option, thanks for the reminder!

This is crazy to me. The 9070XT is a better value than the 5070Ti everywhere in the world except the US. Why is nVidia pricing their cards competitively only in the US?

 

Definitely some 4D chess going on there, and the whole artificial scarcity situation. At least you can finally actually get hands on a card, albeit at a bit of a higher price. The base level cards are going for what we were paying for the OC cards a couple months ago. If the rumors are true nad they do drop some cards with increased ram those will be priced at a very high premium. 5080ti 24GB? That'll be $2k sir.
