Hi I have a Tacoma prerunner v6 has 171,000 miles been kept with regular maintenance its whole life. But at all speeds there’s this vibration I can feel in my seat and looking at my back tires while driving they are kind of jumping. I changed the rear chicks and got alignment and all wheels balanced and it’s still there and it’s getting worse. When I go through the automatic gears It jerks the truck pretty good. There’s a little howl when driving slow and reversing. I checked the carrier bearing and it’s in good condition no play the u joints are a little dirty but not loose by any means tires are at 80%

Can be a magnitude of one or multiple issue:
    Rear wheel bearing
    Pinion bearing
    Carrier bearing (third member)

Last year, I serviced a 3.4 that had a weird shake/vibration. Can feel it at a slow pace but as you increase speed, it’s extremely noticeable. I was thinking it was the pinion bearing or auto transmission going out. Pull the DS to check balance, no issue. While the DS was off, I decided to recreate the vibe by putting it in gear and allowing the transmission to speed. I was able to feel the vibe which got me searching from the front of the engine to the rear output flange. Ended up being his crank pulley being bad.

OP how are you checking these things off your list? Some of these things suggested might visually appear good, but could still be your culprit

The rear shocks lol but I just replaced my center support carrier bearing and it’s a lot smoother on even roads but I still get that rough vibration/whobble at slow speeds and just gets worse with higher speeds

Narrowed down where the problem is coming from and it’s somewhere on the rear passanger side not the tires but maybe an axel or wheel bearing. It’s gotten a lil worse after replacing the center support carrier bearing at all speeds and when it picks up is when most noticeable

That sounds like they're throwing the parts cannon at your vibration complaint and you're getting taken to the cleaners.

Color me skeptical that your rear diff needs replaced at 171k miles.
