    Damn!
I was supposed to have mine replaced last week. The part came in and everything.
The service guys looked at it, and decided they didnt need to replace it because it was the "upgraded" part.( had it replaced once already)
What they didnt realize, was this new motor they put in, already has the same issues as the original. Chirping!
Maybe just got a bad part? I dunno, but I will be getting it replaced, again, Friday.

Okay, send me your address...I am currently in Nigeria right now, but I'll send you a money order:D

I actually have it, see my previous posts above....we'll see how good it is in 10,000 miles...If it chirps then, I'll just shell out another $40....hell, I'll make it a yearly ritual.

Well last week I took my truck to the dealership for routine oil change and state inspection sticker (free but they try to talk you into other maintenance) as well as the cutting of the gas pedal and programming of the computer. I told them I had a terrible squeek during the colder months but it has since cleared and I was simply waiting for my normal maintenance and have it fixed as well. Well I didn't predict the squeek would go away after it warmed up and in my mind, a bad bearing will stay bad a keep making noise. Well they "looked into it" and said they found nothing wrong so I took it home thinking maybe it was a dirty cabin filter. When I started to look up how to replace the cabin filter, I found this thread and was really ticked off at the dealership. I printed out the TSB, call them up the next day (they were closed when I found this out) and was very polite with them discussing the problem I had and the TSB and the fact that my 36000 miles may not make it until next winter so they could hear the noise. They asked me to come in, which I did. When I got there they treated me like a valued customer and without any fuss, replaced the motor with the new motor. The person I dealt with even explained the new motor has better mounting and foam to help isolate further noise. After reading this thread, I know the problem very well may come back but I wasn't going to argue with him. He is not the person to make this type of complaint to and is doing his best to help me out.

If you live in the Fredericksburg, VA area, Rosner in Fredericksburg, talk to Fred. I don't know for certain but I believe this place grades the service reps by the feedback from the customer surveys which I'm sure related to money for them. Fred will get my highest marks. The previous visit was with someone else and that person will not be so lucky. He should have been in tune with the TSB and my complaint to fix the problem. Hell, I left the truck with them and told them to keep it as long as they needed, just call when it's finished.

So the fan is of course quiet and hopefully mine will never squeek again :amen:

Seem that more and more people are needing psychological assistance. Make it simple, ditch the fan of the devil and buy the cheap TYC fan.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread. I thought I was going crazy hearing things in my 2010 Tacoma DC TRD Sport. But, thanks to this thread, I saw it was not an isolated problem. I took it in to my dealer (Toyota Carlsbad) and they replaced the blower motor without question and added some dynamat soundproofing for good measure. It must have been easy because they had the whole thing done, including oil change, tire rotation, and car wash by 10 AM. The chirp is gone. Thanks to all who posted.

I just picked up my truck from the dealer fixing the blower motor, we'll see how it works.
When I dropped it off this morning the guy asked if I wanted the accelerator pedal shaved, I said no, he said good!
Then he said that there was a recall on the TRD rims, not the stockers but the optional TRD rims. They were going to check mine anyways. Cool, I hadn't known about that recall.
Just before he drove off into the bay he asked if there was anything else going on. I asked if he could fix the squeeky leaf springs. Sure no problem there's a tsb for that. We'll see how long everything lasts.

I am getting fan #3 this week. Seriously though, this is a Mickey Mouse problem, and a joke that Toyota is having such a tough time solving it. Honestly.
Here's a Factoid. In all my years of reading Motor Trend, they have had 2 vehicles with not one issue, not one. Both of them "crappy Fords". What do ya know....

my truck has done it since day one and it's REALLY annoying. when i took the truck in for its first oil change i explained it to the service writer and he said that he never heard of this problem before lol! i hate the car business its filled to the brim with aholes. i have heard so many people complain of the same problem, but the service writer said that there was neither a tsb or a recall for the problem? this can't be if any of you guys could provide this if one exists it would be a big help. thanks

I had my blower replaced, with the same part numbers you have listed, back on March 4th. So far, so good. Just to be safe, I always keep my fingers crossed when using it.
