That one could actually be true… :infantry:

Though if your coworker was actually in the Tet offensive in ‘68 he’d be at least 75.

My buddy has been using those big totes for years for his firewood business like you've been doing recently.

He repurposed one for a more productive way...

Well manly men, just so you don't think I sleep in that chair all the time...

I have been doing a spruce up of a tenant house.

    Before:

    20250419_124521.jpg

There was some thick wall paper falling off the original 1950's wall paper.
It was entertaining to pull it off.

    20250422_191345(1).jpg

    Now:

    20250516_175247.jpg

The backsplash is place & press tiles that Mrs Green picked out. There is 1/8" hardboard behind them for a smooth surface to stick to.

The bathroom had a 70's style metal vanity with lights above, there was a turn switch on the side to turn them on.

Like this but more tired looking.

    upload_2025-5-16_20-8-52.png

There was also an outlet on the side - connected to the house lighting circuit.

Behind it was this sizeable hole.

    20250428_162352.jpg

It was also mounted so low that I could only see my shirt collar when standing in front of it

    Now:

    20250506_191213.jpg

Proper switch and direct to the panel board GFI outlet.

i really would cut the 3/4" copper after it converts down from the galvanized and re-sweat everything after in 3/4". as long as it's holding pressure, copper is easy to clean and sweat. if not, it'll be your main problem later.

For now I'm leaving well (heh) enough alone. Eventually I'm gonna have to rent a mini-backhoe and dig up the yard and replace the 1" galvanized from the pitless to inside of the house. NOT looking forward to that job :goingcrazy:

Still, replacing what you can now will save a lot of headache later. Especially if the pressure gauge doesn't work.

Good morning and welcome to the weekend everyone :hattip:

Some crazy storms came barreling through overnight, the lightning close and as you can guess, vivid. Got to see if anything in the neighborhood was hit.

I hope the weather is more pleasant where you are

Nice job on those rentals @RustyGreen :101010:

Good Saturday morning friends! Hope the day is good to you :hattip:

Cole and I stopped and grabbed some lumber for a VBS project and I got a yard hydrant and some 3/4” pex to run to the chicken coop (sometime, no rush).

    I need at least 40’, two 20’ pieces were $30, a 100’ roll was $49.

I ask Cole what I should do :anonymous:
