The engine is separate from all of the creature comfort stuff, which is run by the BCM. You can wire the BCM to the LS ECU to control things like the AC compressor etc which @Pittsy has figured out, and @Camazon has been working on getting all of his factory dash lights working with his swap, including 4x4 etc. You can also just do a full new wiring setup like mine will be, which will have no factory wiring at all, and will all be run by Haltech with their PDM's etc, and you can just wire the stuff you want into that or a separate switch pros or something along those lines, including your head unit, or heated seats etc.

    Lots of options.

    Getting there haha.

Yeah I've been slowly picking away at getting all the OEM stuff back up and running. The truck has been on the back burner for a while as I have some more important shit going renovatioins / job change etc. I'll get there. I've been daily driving the truck a lot. Having the extra power for the 37s plus a bed full of shit really is nice.

How's the clearance on the stock tranny tunnel? Or did you have to custom fab something.

The 4L80e bell housing is the biggest issue for space in the tunnel. I massaged the fire wall / trans tunnel in order to get the engine + trans as far back and down as I could.
I think that with more time and willingness to cut some material from the tunnel, you could get close to a flat belly.
When you compare the A750F ( what I had) and the 4L80e beside each other, it's quite a size difference. I cut the OEM transmission cross-member out but @Pittsy I think used his OEM and added a spacer to the top of it.

Should you go down this route I can give you more specific info should you need it. I kept notes for most of the build and resource pages, just haven't had time to put all down in one place.

This isn't where it ended going but might help you understand what I am saying.

Sweet! It’s a plan. My homie with his F350 is gonna tow it up for me, and my buddy with a GX550 on kings is gonna tag along too. I’ll shoot you a text when we’re getting up there. Is there a good spot to stage and unload the truck?

Sounds like they are going to bring vehicles from their booth so they can’t pack to leave until 4:30. Gonna be a later run, probably closer to 6 by the time we actually get out there.

Depending on your plans you can always park and unload at my place or at the main area in the cinders entrance.

Anyone running a ford 9 or similar with inner tube axle seals? I’ve had intermittent axle leaks and first replaced the seals in the Trail Gear seal housings….but they didn’t sit super snug and it started leaking again. Replaced a second time, same issue. Swapped them recently to Seals-it brand seal housings with what I figured were better seals, greased the seals and everything and now have a massive leak on the driver side. Getting frustrated lol.

I don’t use tube axle seals because the hub bearings on mine are lubed by the diff fluid flowing out to the axle hub bearings so make sure your axle hubs do not require that before throwing in those tube axle seals. Personally I use nothing but SKF double lip axle seals and never have any problems. The Part number I use is SKF Seal 29867

I have unit bearings so no issues there. I’m thinking my current issue might be that I’m hauling extra weight, rear end is sagging a good amount, so my diff fluid level is slightly higher than when I filled it.
