How do i remove this?

Like an idiot (before i found tw) i super glued my light switches for my light bar and fog lights to my panel on the left side, is there anyway to remove this without ruining the plastic? im not gunna be removing then anytime soon but i was just woundering

 

super glue is tought stuff. Some solvents will soften it up (mineral spirits, paint thiner, etc) but will probalby bleed the color of panel and make it very soft.

 

yeah thats true. well im gunna not think about it till i sell it. i could of made it look so much cleaner but i guess what i have now is not that bad

 

What Plastic, any pictures? If you just super glued on the plastic blanks where switches could go, like mentioned above you can just replace the blanks.

 

Take a blow torch to the glue.

 

i took the blanks out and put the wires through there and the switch its self goes over the hole

 

I'd use a fine tooth hobby saw blade between the two pulling towards the switch while sawing to hopefully not damage the plastic then once removed use nail polish remover sparingly (or your finger nail, maybe) on the glue to remove the residue.

acetone will dissolve crazy glue. it might discolor the dash plastic too.

 

once you do figure out how to remove the glue or get a new blank just do this

i cut out a little square just enough to have the switch squeeze through and ran the wires behind it so its super clean, as you can see i screwed up on the first try(orange switch) but i think it looks clean
as far as taking off the glue i have no idea lol

 

yea im for sure doing it like this if i ever get any more lights. i just wish i found tw earlier before i did this haha
