Tailgate Protection Mod - Show Me and Explain

    Skid Plate, Hood Protector, Wheel Locks, Snugtop XV, Yakima Rack, Weathertechs, Sick Speed Shifter, Avid Bumper, Avid Sliders, Bilstien 5100's, TSB Spring packs
    I've seen some people mention something they call a "hose clamp mod" to protect their tailgates from theft. What is this mod and can you show us a pic if you've done it?

    Its in the 2nd gen cheap mod sticky. But basically its a hose clamp that goes around the round tail gate hinge.

    Me too. I didn't realize the gap was not on both sides so I put 1 on each side since the package came with 2. Well, I guess I have a spare now if a need to replace and SAE #20. :rolleyes:

    Awesome 99 cent protection mod. So easy, it took about 30 seconds in the dark.

    I think you mean that the driver side is the full cup. The gate lifts from the passenger side. It's in the manual.
