I have the 17x9 -12 version of these. The answer is yes. Pair them with acorn style lugs and tighten in a star pattern. They center just fine!

That looks awesome!! That's the look I'm going for. How did you mount the hub caps? Or has anyone else done this?

Seems like I saw this on an fj40 site, they do it to 15”’wheels, not sure about 16” steelies, they make clips that weld in to snap on the hub caps. Ih8mud.com maybe?

Thanks for the info FIREME, I'm wanting to do this mod on my truck. I did find the repop 15" FJ40 steelies with the clips already installed but not sure I want to run 15"x5.5 on my truck.

Pretty sure 15’s ” won’t clear the front calipers without grinding them down or fat wheel spacers!
    eBay has those clips

This is the look I'm going for, (not my truck) he's running 15x5 FJ40 wheels and caps.

Those do look good on the first gen, my old 86 fj60 15” wheels won’t clear my 3rd gen calipers.
