That is just a slightly lower obstacle. I'll do the reroute first.

I installed new HD shackels and shackle hangers from BAMF. Stock hangers were bent and damaged from hitting rocks.

Having spent about $40 or maybe more on phone mounts trying to not pay for the Off Roam, I can 100% say I wish I would have just gotten it from go. Not cheap...but not overrated either.

Did you ever try out mounting to the A pillar? I was tempted to buy the Off Roam before, but didn't really want to spend that much and also didn't want to potentially block the air vent.

I did not, but I don't like that location for a number of reasons of practicality and preference. The OR doesn't really block the vent much however, just the very corner.

It's better in every way to the sticky cup dash mounts (shake and possible long term damage to the top of the dash), CD slot mounts (even worse shake, and blocks the head unit), and air vent mounts (very limited position options, and a completely blocked vent, and will overheat the phone running the heat in the winter). Haven't tried the wireless charging yet but the Magsafe solves my only potential gripe with it - having to futz with a clamp. Now it's just throw it up, rip it down..

I ended up going with the clamp cause my pro max kept falling off the Ram Mount MagSafe mount I had previously.
To be fair Offroams clamp is a one handed operation.

I also agree that it doesn’t really block the vent.

I get the smallest phones I can which should help (currently sporting a Mini) and since none of my current setup works with the mount and am still currently high on "wow this is great what have I been doing these past years!" I just went all in and got the Peak case on order..only money, right?

Just installed this yesterday after using an A-pillar mount for a few years. The grip holds phones that are thicker and it's a solid mount. I made the change primarily because of my relocation of my AFR and boost gauges to the A-pillar.

I was using it with a Garmin nuvi 1350 and after editing the boot registry entries and deleting to reinstall Garmin Express, updated the map. That took much longer than the initial update of the new (larger, brighter) Garmin Drive 53 that now rides in the OffRoam mount. Any blocking of the vent continues unnoticed.

I'm done with heavy fiberglass caps, the truck is simply way more fun to drive without that weight back there

A couple of quick add-ons. Installed the Meso Customs "Gashole" gas cap holder. Changed out the stock mudflaps and installed the Ark splash guards. While removing the old fronts I noticed that each had a tear so it was overdue to be removed.

Installed this guy to drive my sub after the factory amp was giving me grief. I've only 3m double sided taped the bottom. Any tips for drilling into the plastic below the lip?

Going to tidy up the cable runs now I've confirmed it all works. Also some rubber grommets to tidy up the holes

Drove home yesterday evening (dusk) with the unit powered up and no labels. It's not bright where it's distracting at all. I bet if would be even better with labels applied.

I have to take a picture at night to show the brightness.

Just curious... Why is it more fun to drive without the added weight? I've found the weight helps keep the ass end planted & less chance of axle wrap... especally on bumpy gravel blm roads.

Just more nimble.. I daily this thing in the city, on freeways and streets. Lots of stopping and going.

Out on forest roads its lighter and floats over bumps better..

I've been driving 6-lug toyotas for a long time, took me a while to realize their main advantage is being lightweight and nimble, less of a weight footprint.

With the fiberglass tops it rides like a half-ton. At that point I might as well get one of those and have more room and better power/fuel economy. The Tacoma isn't particularly powerful so staying on the not-so-heavy side is a plus..

Considering these as well to replace my DT's in the fall. Wondering if they'll do as well in packed snow as the Goodyear's. What size are you running?
