Yeah, the electric tool industry is a very "incestual" industry, if you will. That is, every company owns at least 3 different brands and the majority of them buy their parts from the same suppliers. Buy the one you like the color and price of. Chances are, it works as well as the different colored one.

Another cherry I learned while working at home depot. Their "Husky" brand of hand tools is produced by the same company that makes craftsmen. Prices are nearly identical. However, that awesome instant-replacement lifetime warranty that Sears provides for Craftsmen? Yeah, no. You can get your replacement but you have to send it into Husky and they have to approve it.

Okay, I am now done sharing my trivial knowledge about tools. :D

I'd be down for this if the offer stands.

Funny, I was looking at angle grinders today. There's a guy on CL in PDX selling makita ones new without box for $40, 2 for $70. I almost bought one but if someone wants to go in on it, I'd buy 2 and give one to whom ever for $35.

Oh yeah, the reason I came in here:

Got my wheelers 3 leaf AAL installed tonight. Took 3 hrs and was pretty easy. Super excited to have the project done

    Stolen?? Hahaha

Yea ill hit him up tmrw and see what it will be. If he has to see the mount to get an idea it. May take till Thursday perhaps. But ill look into it to see if its cost effective to drive down for it.. I think I asked MT wht they charged. Let me look it up real quick.

EDIT, just found MT's cost. $300.00  for both sides. Im sure with andys cost and with gas its still cheaper for him to do it. Ill check as soon as i can with him.

Sounds great, thanks Robert. I'll be in phoenix until Monday so no big rush here.

Yea man. I'm sure if its cost effective for a few its worth it. I think $300 is a shit ton for it.

My thoughts exactly. Why would someone have multiple angle grinders without boxes unless they own a retail place or a fab shop?

    I guess it's $75 for 2, but still a good deal.

Maybe stolen, maybe the guy deals with both retail places and a fab shop. In any event, there are more potential scenarios than just those 2. Whatever though...

Was anyone staying in your place while you were gone? I would have killed the power and water to my house if I lived in AZ. No worry of freezing I wouldn't think.

Actually it gets colder than here tbh, It gets down to around 14F on winter nights. But yes, I have a room mate there, it was a slow leak and wasn't caught until it reached outside of the master bedroom.

I think autozone might rent, or even let you use for free. never tried doing that myself.

I have Camburgs 2.5"..don't know if it will fit the fox or not but if you does you may borrow mine for as long as you want...as long as I get it back before you move back to AZ :D

...well I grind off the body mount..not all of it but I grind off a good chunk. Home Depot DOES rent angle grinders out..sucks it had the little guard on it..couldn't get in angles as good as I want to. Does not look professional but I hope it did the job.

You already cut it? Nice. That guard should come off if you loosen the bolt on it and slide it off when you don't have a wheel installed on it. Probably already moved on but just saying.

No, he had the guard on his. He worked around it somehow.
