I was going to say clutch interlock switch or ignition tumbler, given it’s age…

Also where is your multi meter or test light?

If the ignition switch was bad, Would i still have constant power to my door locks and dome lights?

It's an Automatic and I would still have power to my dome lights regardless of a good or bad tumbler. (To my knowledge) and i have NO POWER, WHATSOEVER. Them dome lights and anything else does nothing.

I don't know much about multimeters and testing electrical things. ( I can do ohms on fuses) My multimeters kind of suck as well. (That or I suck or we both suck lol)

I'm talking one more look at the security device manual and then quitting on this endeavor and will pass it off to an electrician.

I'm betting something is shorted or dumb (like autozone saying the battery is good when it is bad) and it is beyond my understanding. This all genuinely makes no sense and simply doesn't add up.

Around $26,000 worth of unleaded in the fuel tank.
If you have no power to anything and you say that it just clicked off all of a sudden, it sounds like the main fuse might have popped. That one is in the fuse box right behind the battery I think. It would be one of those big square plastic ones with the clear plastic on its top. The fuse diagram is on the lid. That fuse is proboably bolted in place on the bottom at its sides so you can't just pull it out.

Not necessarily....on mine the AM2 side of the switch went bad...
everything on the AM1 side still worked ...dash lights ..ect

At first it would blow am2 fuse when you taxed the engine...
over a month it got worse.....and sometimes just starting would blow fuse

you could see from that mov that the spring contact inside the switch was burnt up and crooked over

again this is one of those deals where its better to have a reliable one......instead of 30 yr old.......they all eventually go out.....just like the fuel pump

    again.....good shoes is the alternative

Got the truck fixed. Well I took it to an auto electrician.

He said it was resistance to the main blah blah blah. (I didn't pry to much) From how he said it and how he said ~"I also did other things" (which he did do) I assumed it was something stupid simple. $184 for it, he's great at what he does and was quick so, $bread$ to him.

Looking at my battery terminals it looks like they were cleaned as in, I put to much anti corrosion cream on them. So I'm betting that was the resistance. Lol. (I could be wrong)

At least this pushed me to get the useless security system ripped out. Was sick of the issues it was giving me.

Through this I was rushing and letting my emotions get the better of me. I don't know much about electrical but I've learned a bit more and hopefully I can recognize next time that I should start small then go big. As I didn't have to know much to fix this one.
