Duratrac OWNERS mushy sidewall?

I just had my GY Duratracs 265/70/17 installed, and I have heard this before but my sidewalls feel flimsy on turns etc. My questions to all the duratrac owners did you experience this and they end up breaking in and they feel better? I know there are a lot of Duratrac threads, but haven't found a clear answer on this. I love the looks and the ride until I turn the wheel. ALSO, has anyone done the chalk test on a double cab and figured out what PSI to run? Currently I am running 33 in hte back and 36 up front. Please let me know!

 

Maybe try higher psi. With my duratracs it feels fine especially with the eibachs. Takes corners like a champ.

What PSI are you running? yeah I just got new 5100's and new coilovers and My truck drives great, just mushy turns with those tires! Oh just wait till you guys see pics..... I have a little different swing in my new wheel and tires set up, LOOKS CLEAN!

 

I've never noticed a squishy sidewalk with my duratracs. I also use the chalk test to determine proper psi which resulted in 32 front and 27 rear. Results may vary tho with your own truck...

 

Yeah I went from a Dueler, so that would make sense and I didn't think of that. thanks for your input bud.

Thanks, I can't imagine another double cab being to far off on the chalk test. I do love these tires!! Just hope this squirmy works out

 

In town my Duratracs feel fine..haven't really noticed any squishiness.. I'm running 35 psi up front and 33 in the back (since the rear is light when unloaded and I want the tire to wear evenly)

 

That's why I said results may vary. Sure you have a dbl cab like I do, but do you have a winch bumper, sliders, full armor underneath, etc, etc? I bet my truck is weighing in pretty heavy nowadays. Definitely run the chalk test though, that's your best bet for running proper psi front and rear and with any "squishiness" you may be feeling.

 

Thats almost Identical to what I have in them, I'm 36 front and 33 rear. I'll just drive on them and see if they start feeling normal, I'm sure they will
