    This.
Reminds me of one of the municipalities that we service . They are broke and we lost the contract bid to a minuscule amount . Town management should be audited and held accountable for bad budgeting and overspending. Last summer they paved a whole neighborhood for reasons I can’t quite fathom. It’s not like I went down those streets weekly and wondered why they haven’t done it yet or said it’s about friggin time and blah blah blah. Don’t see how these people got jobs there in the first place….

Sorry about the shitty roads and don’t worry about where your tax money went, right?

I'm pretty sure nothing will ever be done or get audited even though it should. From the school district to the tax borough, to the mayor. There's some hanky stuff going on, but my speculations will probably get me a 30...

Ok, so my mom passed last night and is no longer suffering. So I decided yesterday to lop a lilac down . It was in rough shape. And to keep my mind busy I decided to do today
Guy across the street getting his lawn done said he can remove the stump bc they are a PITA and has a special tool to do this. Says it was his grandfathers and that they don’t make them anymore. But for $250 he can do it. Took me 20 minutes or so for free….

If you're out in the country around here, as you know, you got a shit tank (for the most part) and a well/cistern. Oddly enough State Line, PA most people in town have a cistern, very few with a well. There is public sewer. Allegedly there's going to be a new housing development that will bring public water.

Right down the road on Buchanan Trail in Antrim Township they have public sewer. Grew up in a house in the 3000 block of BTW and it had public sewer. Weird.

My house is on septic and well, but I also have a rainwater cistern that is the back patio. I can only assume it originally didn't have a well when it was built. I use it for outside spigots only as making that water potable would require emptying it, cleaning, lining, and adding a $$$ sanitizing and filter system. I just throw a gallon of bleach in it every so soften :anonymous:

    something like that...
but the issue now is they want MORE tax money - meanwhile IDK where the current money even goes, cause it hasn't gone into my community
in fact they want to close some of our polling stations - and put more polling stations in the tiny corner of the county that is team blue

i went to a county council meeting once, to oppose more homes in my development
i had an argument that was founded in some actual law - that you can't build by an endangered/transient waterway
i gave my speech - barely - i was stuttering and such - but at the end I about lost my shit..

those assholes said that was nice but we already voted before the meeting - despite it being on the agenda for the meeting
oh and we don't have the 'authority' to deny the permits - if you don't have 'authority' then WTF are we doing here??
this is all one big fat jerk off fest for you fucking assholes - rubber stamp shit and pat yourself on the fucking back
i exited before cussing or saying anything but i was so angry and still kinda am, the whole thing just reeks

so much for 'local government' is approachable/reachable/impactable

now, down the road we only got 1/3 of the homes that were 'planned' because guess fucking what??
i was fucking right - you can't put homes on property that won't fucking perc, law or not - fucking cocksuckers

Glad (well not really...) everyone seems to be going through these issues.

The shady part about our town meeting over the issue is they ALWAYS do it at 11am in the middle of the week when most people are at work. Suspicious...

I don't have to worry about the water/sewer issue UNLESS part of the multi million expansion brings sewer to my area. Although I'm in a different township despite being 5 minutes up the road. Who knows :notsure:

well apparently our county meetings are worthless - so despite them being at like 1800 on a Tuesday, what is the point?

hopefully being in a different township saves you
some people around here were 'added' to the cities sewer but also forced to pay something like 25K for the 'privilege' and it wasn't a choice to be on the city shit or not..

If it's going to happen, it needs to be within the next 5 years. I'm looking at a septic system replacement in that time frame and that's $35,000+ so a tap wouldn't be as much.

All they give a shit about is gaining more tax money from prop taxes and shit . They would stamp out a species if they could and not care . Especially the builders……

    Oh I know . . . .

When I was doing the research to oppose the shit, I found so much paperwork that backs up your statement
    It was maddening and sickening
The county was doing the developers job basically - to help maintain the permits/not let them expire - b/c more homes = more $$

How about you come and hold my hand while I go to work too??
