What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It finally stopped raining, so proper washed and waxed tonight and it needed it.

 

Added a sticker from @InfernoTRDPro on my intake on the Tacoma and one on the dodge. Avoided a snake bit because I had on gloves. Drank beer and played my 6 string and my 12 string

 

That is rather "burying the lead" ...

 

Mowing and pulling weeds . Went to pull a weed and snake got my glove in the clearing where I park the toys

 

Glad the glove took the hit.

Always happens on a Sunday right before you have to go back to work. Hopefully you've got a spare.

 

I need to do this soon. Maybe this week...

 

Cleaned the throttle body, the MAF sensor and installed a new air filter. (filter was way dirtier than it looks)

 

took me about 5-6 hours per vehicle

 

Did the best mod yet.

 

Just like in my 2018, I installed the OPT7 Parlux Triple Row LED Tailgate light bar on my son's 2022. I used the OPT7 Easy Connect Harness for simple connection for the taillights, turn signals, brake lights, and reverse lights.

Some commented that the bar doesn't sit flush on the metal surface because of a metal lip on the driver and passenger ends of the bed. To overcome this, I mounted the light bar using bar magnets (neodymium). This elevates the light bar allowing it to clear the metal lip. BTW, it's cheaper to get the magnets from Amazon vs. OPT7.

Also replaced the halogen brake and reverse lights with LEDs.

 

It happened Saturday, I ordered the new housing and received it Sunday through Amazon

 

I'll be doing the 1/2 assed version of this. 6 hours isn't in my agenda. Maybe 3 hours.. I guess I'll see. I've done this once before.

Dropped it off for the White paint recall. Was told work would take 9 days, 21 TRD Sport.

Did not get a toyota loaner, they got me a rental through Hertz.
