Bottom line is no one seems to give a fuck until there is an accident.

I asked AI for some ideas for the back yard tonight. I like the direction but it looks pretty plain.

nice Xmas tree there, I planted a small one in our front yard after last Xmas. We had a little decorative one we picked up for the front porch and had set it out for trash pickup when I realized it was potted and we could maybe plant it.
Now it’s nearly a foot taller already and I’m kind of wishing I had picked a better spot for it, in a few years it might overtake our front porch lol

They get big quick. There is one in the yard that is about 25 feet tall. I need to cut it down.

We’ll see how it survives summer, has thrived so far but scorched earth season is coming. With the sprinklers I imagine it will do ok, worst case we just cut it down to use as a tree one year when it’s too big

I just grow patches of grass -- call it grass and watch it die. Though some of it got tough and decided to show it's face again already this year! I need to redo a retaining wall (read that as actually make one not out of rocks the dog kicks over) and get to throwing seed out agian.

I'm also thinking about SCORCHED EARTH as our hockey tournament is in Scottsdale -- it's going to be FIRE -- literally.

Got a sketchy feeling from somebody walking around my truck in a parking lot... I don't own any air tags. But I'm picking one up nearby now on my phone...

On iphones there are options for disabling the things and making them beep. I would think android could do that too.

They can, couldn't hear the noise so I assume it was some random one elsewhere in the parking lot. Apple had to introduce all these features after people were using the tags to track and traffic people

If I found a tag on my truck. I was planning to take it to work and leave it with public Access. Have to be a pretty bold criminal to request your illegally placed air tag from a corrections officer

Like marking your truck for theft later vibes? That’s wild but believable. Going off the Honda civic theft rate of these things in Cali and the PNW.

Yup, it's not unheard of unfortunately. He saw me walk away from my truck, a normal person would approach me not just walk around the truck after I walked away.

speaking of sketch -- one of the ladies I play hockey with travels a lot for her job; lots "locally" and some out of the state. A few weeks back she had a job in ABQ -- but the less good part. On her way back she texted me saying she was going to be late for our game that night because she'd been shot at.

Cops said it was probably a gang initiation and she "got lucky" because of her illegal tint -- it made the bullet trajectory just enough off; shot was for her head. They didn't cite her for it and told her to put the same back. Crazy shit.
