I grew up in Los Angeles. I was in high school when St Helen's blew. It rained ash for days once the winds carried it that far south.

Glad you and the -inlaws were missed. You've had enough BS to deal with.

Thank you. And true enough. When we heard where the tornado was expected to come through London, we were extremely worried it might hit my in-laws house. in addition to them having to deal with that, my wife said "Great, now we are all going to be homeless"... since we will most likely be moving in with them shortly.

A little of this and a little of that.
Fantastic Paul. Thank you for sharing all of the repair process with us. You did a lot of good work to get your sailboat seaworthy again.

Glad you and your family are safe Tom! The first tornado being on the ground for 55+ miles is insane.

Indeed. The YouTube weather tracker we watch is also in eastern KY. He said this is the largest tornado in a very long time to have hit this part of the State. We are close enough to the Appalachian's that twisters go around this area, or dissipate before they get this far.

This year's Spring time severe weather in the Dixie Alley which is In the lower Mississippi Valley has already surpassed the Severe weather normally found Tornado Alley region

My area is expected to have more severe weather tomorrow with a 3 out of 5 severe weather forecast

You got a boat to fix! And Legos to build! And a dog to walk!
Certainly better things than venturing outside of here. I don’t even like to do that and I have to!

Evening folks, the tornado damage is hard to watch. SW Michigan got clipped pretty bad, but nothing like Kentucky

I hear you. Sometimes, you go into a thread to help but the stupid overpowers you. Doesn't matter what you know...someone read something on the internet and now they know better. Better yet, their buddy read something on the internet...:frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::frusty::facepalm:
