Wisconsin Tacomas and bad financial advice

Speaking of my lowers...I finally have all of the bolts to re-do mine, have a 2nd set of LCAs in the garage, figuring I'll just cut mine out and use the others. Out of curiosity, I pulled everything out and checked fit...none of the bolts/cams fit...the LCAs are 2nd gen...they use different bushings/hardware. Somewhere I had gotten the idea that 2nd and 3rd gen LCAs were the same. Oh well, time for a new plan. I started hosing the bushings down with PB Blaster. Will do this every day this week and see if I can break everything loose. Otherwise, I'm going to have to buy bushings too. I just knew this couldn't go easy.

On a side note: the starter issues in the last 2 weeks are less frequent and only minor...that trend can continue.

 

Took the bicycle up to High Cliff State Park on Friday to do some trail riding. It was pretty windy and Lake Winnebago was just a bit choppy:

That's probably not a safe place to cross.

 

The difference? The bushings!

 

Along much of the north shore, you have to go out about 100 yds before the water gets 3' deep...

Love my job. Spent 3hrs modifying a part, only to find out the engineer gave me the wrong specs.
