This came with my GB40 and I can't figure out what it is or how it applies to my NOCO. I think it has something to do with how the charge cables are stored.

Ahhh that's what the damn thing in my cupholder was .

It was there for years because I was sure it was SOMETHING, but I finally threw it out last week after thinking "well, for years I never needed or missed this!", hahaha.

It looks like the clamps clamp onto each end to keep them from touching?

Its for the alligator clips. You clamp them side by side onto the plastic.

Like this? I thought of this but thinking it would weaken the tension of the springs after awhile.

I think maybe the other way? Rotate the mystery part 90° on the long side, then rotate the clips 90° clockwise and clip them onto the outside walls of the part so that it sits on the noses?
