Been out too long, not as lean not as green

 

The fact that he didn't eat them tells me he won't be a Marine

Sure as hell won't skip those smoothies though

 

the old crayons definitely had a distinct chem smell that is missing today. kids will never know lol

Feels good being back on Ubuntu; it's so snappy on a mini PC

 

Fuck, yesterday was an expensive day.

 

internet is down so im working from hotspot with like 1mbps and its apparently the day when i have half a dozen meetings and apparently everyone has fucking questions and well i woke up cranky to begin with because the nightmares

 

its amazing how lean most linux distros are compared to windows these days, old hardware dont care too much

 

I’ve heard about several college kids or twenty somethings whose parents just casually bought them a house. WTF, does this actually happen? It was hard for me to believe. My mom’s friend apparently bought her son a house in Denver cause he couldn’t afford rent. Just doesn’t seem right to me.

thats been happening for a long time…
i had several classmates whose parents were flush enough to buy them a home to live in for college

 

Everyone I know that owns a home had significant parental assistance.
Can't say I wouldn't accept it, but fuck it sucks that its basically the only way its possible before youre 30 these days.

 

If they have the money properly is always a good investment

 

Every boomer owning 3 houses for investment purposes is why I probably will never be able to afford one outside of Mississippi or Alabama

 

It doesn’t seem like a good lesson to just give it to their son just cause he was struggling to pay rent though

 

It still doesn't seem right. I mean would you just buy your kid a house if you had the money, and not even charge them rent or anything?

 

We buy so many of those damn things. We had to stop offering them to him at home we were going through so many, they add up lol. We only give them when out and about now usually

 

Honestly it doesn't even sound that crazy when you put it next to the cost of tuition or room and board. It's all relative.
