Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Axles get GL-5, transfer case and manual transmission get GL-4 because of the brass syncro gears.

I didn't see...did you confirm your installation with the mfg/seller? Ask for ideas what might be wrong?

I have the evoA, I had messed up the paint in a spot on the rear pillar/corner and have since decided to do similar to match the oem alum boards texture. Did you dissemble prior? I’m thinking I should to remove the gaskets and replace. If not did you tape the seams for future disassembly if necessary? Roll or spray? Tips or things you’d do differently now knowing?

black definitely was better than a color match especially w/ mgm

To be technical, you don't put oil in the axles or the diff. Axle is a generalized term referring to the assembly. Technically, it's the axle housing that you put the oil in and the diffs benefit from that oil being there (as do the wheel bearings).

edit: The axles couldn't give a damn if there was even oil...

I have smaller clay sponges like that. Tbh I haven’t even used the mitt I bought yet some years ago - shows how long I’ve done a deep detail too… it’s time but takes so long so most of the time I do panel at a time over days. My main problem is it’s too damn hot and sunny with no shade, really need a sail or those vinyl type flat carports

I just left Japan yesterday, spent three months, generally it’s a mild, beautiful spring. This time it was more rain and cold. But yesterday it was like someone flipped the switch, hot (75), 100% humidity. Spring is over and now it’s the rainy season that leads to hot, humid summer. PNW is feeling very nice right now.

Oh for sure. The soap/lube dries up so fast in the sun. I’m due as well and will probably get to it after this upcoming camping trip. The decon, buffing, and fresh ceramic will probably take me a week working on it after the sun gets behind the tree line in the evenings. Luckily it’s not my daily and stays in the detached garage, so it doesn’t get too dusty day to day.

IMG_4312.jpgToday, I did the right thing and had installed Bilstein 5100’s, set to the 3rd clip (1.1” lift), with a Wheeler’s single 1.5” add-a-leaf (AAL) in the rear! Terrible picture though….

    Brakes & Rotors, oem.
Feels great, so, smooth. I must have had warped rotors, either a pothole or spraying hose on wheels when it was too hot, one or the other.

    Looks good sir!!

Do you not use brake lube on the pins, or anywhere the pads touch the caliper basically??

Thank you, this was a hard earned win for sure, I started it way too late in day...in the end it's great!!

Yeap, used the lube on the new shims, and put it on the calipers where the new-shoes short-edges would touch it. There is no chatter, no squeaks, no clicking currently. I do expect the clicking to come when backing up then braking, and on the first stop of each trip I think that is natural.

Those pins, are so loose, and clean, no rust, I didn't see the need to grease them, and, using only the 1/4 teaspoon pack that comes with the new pads there really wasn't any leftovers.

Picked up my ARE shell from getting paint matched. Took a while, but you can’t be mad when it doesn’t cost you anything!
